So I finally beat Grand Theft Auto IV last week, and have since gone back and finished the Assassin and Courier missions. I still plan on finishing all of the Stunt Jumps and Brucie races, but I doubt I'll try to find all 200 of the 'Flying Rats'. That's gonna take a lot of exploration, and I doubt I'll ever get THAT bored. But in the meantime, I thought I'd post some of my current game stats:

I know a lot of you here are still playing too, so I'd love to see some of your stats. Everyone plays it differently. Maybe you've made it your goal to only drive on sidewalks, so perhaps you've run down twice as many people as me? Or maybe you've spent more money on prostitutes?

Blog Response: GTA IV Game Stats Posted: 2 years ago LOL i am actually getting a little bored with gta4' since i upgraded my router i can play multi, but it seems lackluster. the missions are very predictable, and why have so much money?? cnat bu 300,00$ worth of hot dogs....lol dont get me wring, i love the game, but it has gotten kinda of boring, BTW, i am a couple of missions past three leaf clover, how far into the game am i? man i cant wait for fable2 and far cry 2 Click here to see the blog --------------------------------- semper ubi sub ubi
Posted: 2 years ago I started to get a little bored with it around the same time you did, and the story isn't nearly as good as advertised. It's just Niko going from boss to boss, cuz he's looking for someone, but more because he needs money. Both endings are pretty similar too (no spoilers here, but if you don't have the achievement for having $500,000 by the time the finale comes, choose Deal instead of Revenge). But I found my way through, and now I'm having more fun now that the story mode is over, and my phone is turned 'off' so I stop getting calls from everyone. As for your game progress, I'd say you still have about 35-40% of the missions left. There's a lot after Three Leaf Clover. BTW, that mission took me a LOT of retrys. --------------------------------- 'I wanna get my knees dirty.' -- Gunnz, Netcast 37
Posted: 2 years ago All I can say-I am still unable launch my dirt bike onto a heli.
Posted: 2 years ago i got three leaf on my first try...but man was it hard! when we escaped on foot, but went into a three star pursuit...my SUV was smoking, i went for broke driving thru a park, and then jumped a ramp onto the beach and went in the water, JUST outside of the police, every swam out, and we made it.but it was hard, i did use my health cheat once ![]() --------------------------------- semper ubi sub ubi
Posted: 2 years ago That reminds me. I had one other stat I meant to post:Cheats Used -- zero Which is why Three Leaf Clover took so damned long. That, and the idiot AI split up on one occasion, and I followed the wrong one. I swear, there were too many SP missions where they say 'Kill everyone,' but the other guy you go in with decides to sprint through the area, and if you don't follow him, running through a hailstorm of bullets, you fail because you got separated. If I want to stay and shoot every last bad guy, I should be able to, and not be punished for it. /rant over --------------------------------- 'I wanna get my knees dirty.' -- Gunnz, Netcast 37
Posted: 2 years ago Is 3 leaf clover the mission with the bank. Man I thought that mission was cool. Reminded me of the movie Heat.--------------------------------- Gamer Tag - Tha Sentinal. Hit me up.
Posted: 2 years ago Yeah, and yeah. Definitely like the shootout in Heat. Kane and Lynch had a level like this too, and it was by far the coolest level (although the ending was pretty sweet too ... crap controls but best story in a video game in a long while).--------------------------------- 'I wanna get my knees dirty.' -- Gunnz, Netcast 37
Posted: 2 years ago Fun story, I have beaten the game twice now. Finally got my achievement for killing 200 pigeons, the first attempt I thought I got them all but was shy about 3 pigeons and had no clue where to look so I restarted the game all over.I hope we can spend all the money we have in the XBL expansion.I have like 1.3 million dollars and nothing to spend it on.
Posted: 2 years ago Yeah, that's a big problem. I've been spending my money on RPGs ... slowly but surely. But at more than $500,000, that's a LOT of rockets.Ravioli, can you start the game over again with the cash you had in the first go-around? Or did you get 1.3 million just from one playthrough? --------------------------------- 'I wanna get my knees dirty.' -- Gunnz, Netcast 37
Posted: 2 years ago I have 1.3 mil from one play thru, nothing transfers over when you start another game.
Posted: 2 years ago i plan on at least finishing the story once. i just find it hard to play for long periods.--------------------------------- Merchants of Cool; U R Not(red)e
Posted: 2 years ago Well, I've decided to go and get all the pidgeons. I have about 25 left, and with the strategy guide, I should finish it before the weekend. I guess I'm more bored than I originally thought I'd be! But it's been fun, like a scavenger hunt, and in between all of that, I stole all of the cars for Stevie. I like the city they created, and spending more time in it isn't a bad thing. Oh, and I've made it my mission to drive on sidewalks as often as possible, and have now run down 1,400 people...--------------------------------- 'I wanna get my knees dirty.' -- Gunnz, Netcast 37
Posted: 2 years ago I've taken my time going through this game -- doing Stevie missions, police computer missions and such -- and it's made it much easier to progress through the story. I don't know what all the love for the story was about. It was summed up pretty well by someone else as Niko going from boss to boss and doing similar work. But the side missions are definitely a fun way to pass the time. I really like doing the Stevie missions because you have to look carefully for the vehicles.I will not, however, have any part of finding 200 of those pigeons! I've stumbled across some in godforsaken places, so I shudder to think where the rest of them may be tucked away.
Posted: 2 years ago Without a strategy guide, there's no point in trying to find all the pigeons. Some of them are in such weird places that you'd NEVER find them, no matter how hard you looked (i.e. the one on the very top of a support on the Broker Bridge). My biggest hurdle to 100% completion may be the random pedestrians. Some you can only see at certain times of the day, etc. I've met 11 of them though, and I don't think I have too many left. And I already did all the police computer missions. I feel like I'm having more fun doing the random stuff than I did with the story mode. I'm on my own schedule, and I'm not dealing with idiot AI, or the overrated story. Didn't Game Informer say the script is comparable to The Godfather? The writer of that statement should be drawn and quartered for his blasphemy. ![]() --------------------------------- 'I wanna get my knees dirty.' -- Gunnz, Netcast 37
Posted: 2 years ago I finished the stevie missions last night. I enjoyed doing them. on to the police comp missions now and almost through the story. Only done 2 races though so might hit them up next.--------------------------------- Gamer Tag - Tha Sentinal. Hit me up. |
