Discuss: Rumor: Microsoft to release Avatars to combat Nintendo's 'Miis'

They look cool to me. Microsoft saw a concept that works and is trying to work with and improve it(unlike sony which takes concepts and butchers them all to hell). Avatars are always fun... as long as they don't charge us 500 points a piece for accessories or anything like that.

they just dont let you use any old avatar though, I would love to use my Guy Fawkes avatar on Live.

Could this build into something like Home? I can not imagine that this will convince anyone to purchase a 360 that has not purchased one yet.

this could tie in nicely with a multiperson chat, like all the people would be able to walk around a room and talk and sit and share pics and videos by streaming. Like Home, as hoZt said, but not on such a big scale as Home.

Stupid rumor. I'd bet my gamer score that it's false. Alot of the rumors seem to be combinations of Microsoft and Nintendo designs or Hybrids of the 3 companies (sony being the 3rd).
