A list like this is always going to be sooooo subjective and cause lots of tiffs. I can't believe GTA IV is ALREADY at #9.

They actually did a pretty good job, but your right. A list like this will never please even half the people. Personally I wouldn't expect EW to be able to pick the top 50 movies.

... WoW at 49.... honestly now... this list is kinda outta whack. The criteria "...clawed through the last 25 years of gaming to list the industry's most important releases. " It would seem to imply that said games were innovations in the industry... only thing I can agree with is that everyone has their own opinion and will not always agree.
