Posted: 7 months ago I got rid of a PS3, didn't even bother opening up the packaging to check it out. No interest at all, I would much prefer to carry on my games library in a format I have already invested large amounts of time and money into, I do not want to start another games library to see it gather dust.My friends, both personal and on line all play the 360, I do not want to abandon them and move to a system where the friends list is a afterthought and useless. Hearing the stories of vast amounts of updates, updates for updates, updates for demos, updates for games, installing times.... nah not for me thanks. On line play, xbox live has it in the bag, easy to use, easy to manage, easy to communicate. Most have headsets, it's sociable and fun not a quiet lonely place that gives you a playing single player feeling. Blu ray, who cares really. I am not bothered about extreme definition of films, If I want to see the film how it was intended I will go to the cinema. I am no fan boy but you have to sensible with this, Microsoft, xbox live and the 360 have set the standard, all I hear is complaints of PS3, and the fan boys that go with the machine..... well the "mans best friend" story and the feedback that thread got says it all. I am not saying PS3 is a bad machine, neither am I saying it's good but if I hear another "ooooh its a Halo killer" story as soonas a game comes out I'm gonna go mad. I guess Sony should have put a bit, or maybe a hell of a lot more thought into it's system and on line support before releasing it upon the unsuspecting community, same can be said for MS but at least the 360 is now a good solid system with plenty to back it up. My marketing for the PS3 would be: "Sony PS3, you just can't polish a turd" --------------------------------- www.o35s.net - Gaming and podcasting for the elderly.
Posted: 7 months ago "The fact is that there are only two reasons for most of us to stick with the Xbox 360. One being that we have a regular groups of friends that we play with each night and the other, more importantly, our gamer scores. This reason above all else is probably what keeps us hooked. All those hours spent slogging through single player campaigns or online co-op has a numerical representation that we feel would be difficult to let go of."Or you know - GAMES. Something that you didn't discuss about when praising the PS3. Right that's because the PS3 has no freakin' games... STILL. As for MGS4 not being able to fit on a DVD - well it would if it wasn't filled with never-ending cut-scenes.
Posted: 7 months ago Part of me is drawn to getting a Ps3, but the thing that worries me is the lack of games, and I feel that I will be let down by some of the online querks. I mydslef will wait until after E3 to see what Sony is bringing to the Table!--------------------------------- You're local neighborhood friendly Hero

Posted: 7 months ago LOL, i agree with you footnmouthtardI know the online is free, but arent the game developers allowed to add money on to the cost of each game to support the servers that they run, as Sony dont run the game servers, but the game devs do. I think I read that somewhere. Anywho, I am saving up for one as we speak..... unless MGS4 comes out for the 360, then Sony can kiss my ass goodbye!!!! --------------------------------- "Man, shooting cops and getting Head never gets old"- Gunnz; Netcast #54
Posted: 7 months ago What's wrong with having both?I currently do not own a ps3 but i will eventually get one in the near future. I would assume that all of the truly awesome folks here at 360plex.com are true gamers and love video games. There are great things about the xbox 360, and there are great things about the ps3. There are exclusive titles for both systems so why not have the best of both worlds?? I know some of you may think that it may be too expensive to have both but why not save up for it???
Posted: 7 months ago Why thank you, bpoole. I am truly awesome and I do plan on having both. PS3 is shaping up to have much more longevity than the 360 and I definitely plan on having one come next price drop. Or whenever I have enough credit card reward points to cash in for one, which should only be about a year from now.My true love will always be 360, though. Hopefully, it's progeny will be able to dodge the hardwar defects. However, when the warranty expires on mine, I will absolutely not pay to have it repaired only to break again. It's scandalous that I'm left to assume my console will fail... |
