Discuss: Bungie E3 Project Reveal Delayed By 'Publisher'

Isn't becoming an independent studio all about breaking away from the crap and ties that another company holds you down to?
I don't see why they would want to delay the release of a new game for a time other than E3. From my pissed point of view I think Bungie should just post their new project on their website and forget Microsoft.

It could be that MS had a conference that was so much better than the competition that they want to wait and use Bungie's announcement to combat Sony when they have something bigger. It could also be a MS acting like a "dumb old girl" and holding a little bit of a grudge against Bungie.

I agree that it's probably just Microsoft holding onto the announcement so they could pull it out when they didn't have anything else to talk about. They want to save it to counter the next move Sony makes I'd say.

LA Times reported that's just what was. They pulled the Bungie project, which was a Halo project and they also had stuff they pulled on GTA4 episodic content. MS pretty much found out they wrecked shop at E3 and knew they were, so it was pulled. I'd venture to say, we will see something at Leipzig.
