Discuss: Installing your games takes 30% off loading times

This sounds kind of what Microsoft was making fun of Sony for doing. To think you would have to install GTA4 on the PS3.

But it does have it's plus sides because, at the moment, it sounds like an option rather than the console deciding it for you, and it means you can install a game you play alot, eg GTA4 or COD4. It does sound rather hipocritical, but them's the breaks.

I see it as a good thing, if it works, but would this then involve heavy DRM, for example say, once it is installed in your Xbox, it can't be installed in any one elses....

Why are they still selling the arcade version of the 360 then? Most likely this is going to be a trend and does make perfect sense. It sounds like you will need to have the DVD still in the drive to play the game.

I don't wanna fill up my hard drive with games I can just pop in the disc tray. I'd rather save space for my movies, music, DLC, etc.

i think this is a good thing, as long as you can decide what games you want to install on hard drive and what games you want to read from disc.

Truthfully I don't think I myself will benefit from this feature for one reason, do I really want to take up the extra space?

this is most likely a xbox version of daemonware, it downloads the entire disk as an iso and creates a "fake" optical drive with reads the iso file
