Discuss: 8BitJoystick: Microsoft Prevented Bungie From Unveiling New Halo Game at E3 Posted: 6 months ago microsoft is still sore from bungie leaving View News Story --------------------------------- Merchants of Cool | |
Posted: 6 months ago Bungie couldn't have left Microsoft hadn't let them. Their alternative was to see all the talent leave and form other studios. But too bad for them. They said they were happy with things shook out and they shouldn't treat Bungie like a red-headed stepchild. If this is true then Don Matrick should be ashamed of himself for pulling a powerplay. If he has the ego of a child then he has no business running a company. Bungie working on a Halo game is HUGE!!!!! and if he didn't want to accept that I couldn't give two squirts of "you know what" about "You're in the movies" "Lips" or Final Fantasy XIII then he doesn't know why I bought an Xbox 360 in the first place. Halo 3 was THE REASON I bought an Xbox 360 at launch. I would have waited to buy the system after Halo 3 came out or once the market leader was established but Halo is a first party game and I'm a stupid/crazy Halo fan. That luster is now gone, thanks Don Mattrick. The last time I felt like this about a Franchise I loved was Metal Gear Acid for the PSP. My love for that franchise was done the day I picked up that piece of garbage. I haven't bought a PS3 because of that game. This decision by Microsoft has me considering not supporting with my wallet anymore. It's not so much the decision not to show it as much how it was done. Again, if this is true maybe I give up on Xbox 360. Hopefully, this isn't true and it's just speculation. Or Don Mattrick HIMSELF appologizes to Bungie and their fans! |
