Discuss: VGC:The Review System is Broken & GTA Proves It

kinda accurate, but most people still want an overall score of some sort.

GTA 4 is awesome, great physics, but (i have read this!) to sya that the stroy would deserve an Oscar? CMON!!!!!!!! it is borrowing from every movie ever!.

i actually though San Andreas was a much better game. perhaps the graphics were not 360, the physics were not the best, and it didnt have a cell pohone, but it was FUN to play.

No airplanes in 4? no countryside? GTA3 had tons of countryside, small little towns, trailer parks, all kinds of cool stuff. GTA4 is 98% urban. not a lot of diversity. Now GTA4 is an incredible game, its not the most fun of the fracnhise. GTA SA had more customization, and cooler vehicles.

 I liked GTA 4 & GTA San An for different reasons. I agree tat a game should never be given a 10/10, and i also think games should be given a more critical reviewing.

Thats why i like site like 360plex & gamerevolution. They tell it like it is when reviewing games. If its crap then they say its crap. If its good they say its good but they also tell you whats wrong with the good games.

However, I think he writer of that article comes across as being arrogant and greater than thou and on a high horse. The fact is alot of the good independant and smaller released games just won't appeal to the masses. Think Ico for ps2. One of the best games I have played but i don't think most teenages today would appreciate it.

I agree with pretty much everything that Sentinal said except that most teenagers wouldn't appreciate Ico. I'm a teen and I just beat Ico.

 Sorry Marchant. I didn't mean to offend you or teenagers, I guess I meant that in a world saturated with so much mass produced crap in music and movies and advertising and tv, that when a game comes along that is more about core gameplay and less about fast paced action and explosions i would have thought the media saturated youth (and older farts) of the mass population might not get the subtleties of games like ICO.

well i really liked gta 4 i think it was my favourite of all the gta's but in the end its hard to compare them all together other then they latest 3 before gta 4 because they were all released around the same time as eachother were as 4 is on a completly different console all together
