Yeah, but what is the point if you have to keep the game disc in the drive? Is this just to prevent the DVD from overheating? This is a bit ironic considering Microsoft has poked fun at having to "install" some PS3 games.

I would think it is so that people just dont go out rent and copy im not sure how the ps3 version of this software works but I would I guess that each game for the Ps3 has its own way of locking to just that console?

I might use this feature seen as ive know got an elite and didnt have to pay extra :D. PC World gave me a elite instead of pro :D Does look cool but will soon take you memory up on the hard drive.

i like the idea of it being optional compared to the ps 3. This way you can pick your most played games

Would I be correct in thinking that if you preload the game you would not then have to listen to the roar of the spinning drive? Would it just spin to read and say yes there is a disc there?

For me it would be great, I have been rather ham fisted with discs over the years, had to replace Forza 2 ,PGR4 and CoD4 due to er........ disc mismanagement... Sort of like a back up, surely the disc would not need to be read then?

Minuses would be all of the over enthusiastic ps3 fans pointing and waving fingers saying "We told you so"

I guess they have a plan though, maybe full titles are coming to marketplace in the future? Who knows...
