This sucks, that kid was talented. Here we go again with this blaming video games shit, really I need to start up an organization against this stuff. I'm tired of people blaming the industry every time a kid does something they shouldn't just because the parents are too lazy to watch their children.... I need someone to write my stuff for me, we all know I'm not the most eloquent speaker sometimes.

It does look like he may have been a slightly obsessed with the game.  I am sure this is not the first nor the last time someone gets seriously hurt or dies while trying to do some crazy stunt that will get views on YouTube.

True but with all the gamers in the world the ratio of violence *supposedly* related to it seems to be rather low. I always say that if a game, movie, song, etc can influence someone to act out in certain ways that are violent or what have you then they have something wrong with them in the first place.

It's something that will never really go away until the games industry really is mainstream and everyone is playing it. In the real world, these people who play games are lot are still social rejects... It's a shame that things like this give more ammo for Jack Thompson, it has nothing to do with the violence of the games. It's the same as if someone recreated a wrestling match or a film, but games just seems to bear the most out of them.
