Weird And Proud Of It
(via rampancy.net) - The news isn't all bad for Crackers the chimp, though. 1Up's reviewer gave the game a B+, and the average of users and editors on the site is an A. The site praised the game for the humorous news segments as well as the unabashedly strange gameplay elements. And when this plays into the objectives, the game becomes great fun.

TeamXbox: Chimp Warped And Innovative
(via rampancy.net) - The team at TeamXbox rated Wideload's sophomore effort, Hail to the Chimp, a 7.9 out of 10, scoring highest for audio and innovation. One of the game's greatest strengths might ironically become one of its weaknesses: While the game presents a unique take on the party game formula, Hail to the Chimp is actually at its funniest when you're not even playing.

Still Bourne
(via GiantBomb) - As much as I appreciated the way 2002’s The Bourne Identity restored some of the seriousness to international espionage that the James Bond franchise had been frittering away for so many years, anyone who called it a “thinking man’s action movie” was just covering for the fact that they loved watching Matt Damon outrun Parisian [.

Dreaming of a New Xbox 360 Dashboard
(via Gaming Today) - With all this talk of the in-game XMB (and by “all this talk” I mean all of the things I’ve been writing), it’s made me remember how great the Xbox 360 dashboard was when I first got my Xbox 360. Compare that with the systems from just a generation ago, and it was a tremendous leap forward.

Ninja Gaiden 2 'horse armor' now on sale Ninja Gaiden II
(via Game Radar) - Joystiq Writes:"Let's face it, we hardcore gamers are always looking for an excuse to play ninja dress-up. After obliterating tens of thousands of nameless, demonic foes, what greater satisfaction could there be than in donning a leopard print bodysuit and doing it all over again? That's the thing, palette swaps used to be bonuses for our hard-earned mileage; easter eggs buried at the end of the playing field.

Konami Gives Minor Details On Castlevania Fighter
(via Cinema Blend Games) - I’m not sure how I should feel about this, but Konami is bringing Castlevania into the 3D gaming world. Usually iconic 2D scrollers have a hit or miss translation to the 3D realm, but Castlevania Judgment is taking a whole new spin on things. The game is being developed by Castlevania creator Koji “Iga” Igarashi as a 3D fighting game for the Nintendo Wii.

Alpha Protocol Aims Ambitiously For RPG, FPS Fans Alpha Protocol
(via Kotaku) - Obsidian Entertainment says it's found the right mix of action and RPG, balancing subtlety with "over-the-top" visual style, and weighing realism carefully against the "abstraction" of fantasy elements. Alpha Protocol, though billed as an "action-RPG," sounds a bit weighted more toward the former than the latter, aiming for a happy medium that hopes to make RPG elements accessible to twitch fans, while still adding the depth to please RPG purists.

More MM9 nuttiness USK rates the game for 360
(via Xbox 360 Fanboy) - Filed under: News, Xbox Live Arcade Will the back and forth never end? It's multiplatform, then it's not, and now it looks like it is again. With no official word from Capcom, this new Mega Man 9 news of course has only as much credence as the first OFLC rating. But we really don't think that government game rating boards are in the habit of making up games or confusing which controller and console they're using, regardless of what country the ratings board is from.
