Viva Pinata sequel will release the first week of Sept (via Xbox 360 Fanboy) - Filed under: NewsEarlier today, Microsoft narrowed down Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise's oh so vague "September 2008" release to actual date dates. Pending any unforeseen delays caused by uncooperative Horstachios or Buzzlegums (they can and do get out of hand), that release date will be September 2nd for those in North America and for Europeans, a few days later, on September 5th.

Gears of War 2 Screenshot Extravaganza: Part One: Campaign (via Gaming Today) - Microsoft and Epic released so many screenshots for Gears of War 2 today that if I were to put them all in one post, the thin silver cord connecting us to the Prime Material Plane would snap and all we know would be lost to us as we floated around in the different Astral realms - that or the Matrix would collapse, or any other sort of nerdy reference to all hell breaking loose.

Halo 4 is already in development (via LazyGamer) - Apparently finishing the fight didn’t really mean what Bungie said it did. Not that I ever expected the billion dollar Halo series was going to be allowed to rest in peace. Apparently a new and completely unsubstantiated rumour has started up that Bungie has already started working on Bungie 4.

X360 preview: Gears of War 2 multiplayer (via N4G.com) - Despite the fact that it physically and emotionally hurts X360, their trip to see Gears 2 was so jam-packed with facts that X360 has had to almost entirely forgo its usual jocular verbosity in favour of actually getting straight to the point. So hold tight, because even across eight pages, they are cutting it fine.

X360 review: Unreal Tournament III (via N4G.com) - First things fraggin' first: play Unreal Tournament III offline or on and you're getting slightly different shades of the same blistering experience and both are as swift as sh*t from a goose. While other titles often feature single-player campaigns but are, in cold reality, really multiplayer titles with a single-player mode that justifies itself with a trite story slapped to run-to-waypoint-to-progress levels, UT III sticks firmly to its guns and provides arena combat so nauseatingly perfected that ideally you'll need to play with a spare adrenal gland ready to one side, lest the other shrivel to a prune.
