Halo 3 does not Natively Render at 720p Resolution
(via ClassAction Connect) - A team of class action attorneys has launched an investigation into complaints that Halo 3 was falsely marketed as a high definition product, but does not actually render native high definition resolutions. These complaints are that, although Halo 3 was advertised as having a 720p resolution (720 pixels), it natively renders at 640p (640 pixels) and is simply scaled up to 720p.

360 HD-DVD Drive Vs Toshiba HD-A20
(via PainInTheTech) - This comparison is targeted at consumers that want 1080p HD-DVD for the lowest cost. This article does not include the price of the Xbox 360 for purposes of comparing the drives only. My goal was to determine whether the Xbox 360 add-on produced reasonably similar results viewing HD-DVD content to the standalone HD-A20.

What Would Happen If Video Games Where Real !
(via Yahoo) - Part of what separates gaming from other forms of entertainment is its ability to give users a firsthand taste of the impossible -- or at least incredibly unlikely. But sometimes, living vicariously just doesn't cut it. Limited only by their own ingenuity (and, most likely, dozens of zoning laws), the most dedicated enthusiasts have tried to answer the age-old question, "What would this game be like in real life?" With the help of a few friends, really lame costumes and, of course, a video camera, they've come up with some truly amazing answers.

Actiblizzion Game Mashups
(via 1up) - I still haven't quite wrapped my head around the idea of Activision and Blizzard working together. Sure, I can understand that one's really experienced with console games and the other has decades of PC asskicking under its belt. It makes sense to combine those powers.

Why Can't I Pay Exact Change on XBL?
(via 1up) - Microsoft explains one of their service's more prominent annoyances. They forces users to purchase arbitrary Microsoft Point bundles, inconvenient (and expensive) when purchasing content on a regular basis. While on the phone with Xbox 360 group product manager Aaron Greenberg about the recent dashboard update, I decided to ask why this simple annoyance hasn't been cleared up yet.

Why Xbox Originals Needs A Major Overhaul
(via Game Life) - Xbox 360 can't natively play original Xbox games; it has to use software emulation that is far from perfect. Many games, including the Originals versions, are plagued with problems like imperfect audio, saving issues, and freeze-ups. It is perhaps unreasonable to expect Microsoft to devote the time and resources to tweaking the code for these games yet again, but suffering through buggy gameplay is no one's definition of fun.

PS3 vs 360 Face Off Round 6: Assassin's Creed PS3 Version Not Up to 360's Par
(via N4G.com) - "Assassin's Creed is a total enigma of a game for me. I simply cannot disagree with any of the points in Tom's review; it's a classic example of developers getting lost in their own cleverness to the detriment of the core gameplay. The basic notion that you've seen all but one of the sub-missions by the time you've completed the first assassination is a chilling fact about the sheer lack of variety Ubisoft Montreal has offered up in piece of software that is otherwise revolutionary.

Majority of Americans Want Gov. Regulation
(via 1up) - The majority of Americans don't really know the Constitution. Pop-quiz, hotshot: how many Americans are familiar with the right to free speech? One of the basic human rights guaranteed in the Constitution, you'd think the number would be high. But if you said a paltry 40%, give yourself a nice pat on the back.

They have posted the review with bold/italic areas showing the differences, so go have a look as see how much grovelling was done.

Previews: Army of Two
(via CVG) - Misery loves company... As anyone who's read the Bible (or as is more likely, seen Governor Arnold's End of Days) will tell you, the Devil comes in many forms. Sometimes he's a little boy named Damien, sometimes he's a girl whose head can turn a full 360 degrees, and sometimes he's under deep, deep cover as a videogame.
