Well I guess it had to happen sooner or later, parents need to wise up and take control of what their kids are doing, one of the girls that works for me has a 11 year old daughter who has a 360 and she has it in a small room next to the kitchen so she can monitor who she's playing with.

But I guess Google is a bit scary if you can Google a name and get address and phone number, now that is worrying.

There are perverts everywhere. Anyone that goes online especially children should be aware that predators are out there. In this case it is good that the incident was reported to the police and they took action.

To have talked that long, as mean as it sounds, I think the girl gave up some info rather than him just looking it up. Be it her telling him herself, him looking it up on myspace or what, an older guy, giving you attention AND offering to send you stuff? she's not so innocent. But that's aside from the fact that it is extremely wrong and creepy for this guy to do this and intend to follow through, he needs some electro shock or an electric chair to fix his problem. But it was bound to happen, I've met a few myself.

This is just stupid in so many ways. First of all hes a sick SOB. Second ok she probably was taken advantage of in the fact she gave info out to him that she shouldn't have. And this is what really gets me.

I don't really consider a 15 year old a 'child' so it's always hard for me to be sympathetic to things like this. When you're that age you know what you're doing, if he was saying and doing this stuff for that long then she could've blocked him if it bothered her or she should've told her parents so they could do something. The fact that they sent the stuff back and changed numbers instead of informing the police kinda shows they knew she had some type of relationship with him. God does that make it far from right, but if it takes someone having to threaten rape for you to consider them 'dangerous' to your child then maybe you need to re evaluate a little bit. If you aren't going to monitor your children than atleast be involved and at the slightest sign of something odd set shit straight.
