I have always said this, if you don't have to have CD's hanging around why you want DVD's (or Bluray) discs.

i think people worry about having the next Betamax player. what if Blu ray wins? will the 360 HD player be worthless?

One thing about the 360 is that Microsoft could create an external drive that could play Blu-ray.  Downloadable moves is one way that Microsoft has found to keep collecting money with each rental.  DVD vending machines may take some of the download market though.  I can visit a machine and rent a new release for $1.

I can rent Blu-ray at my local Blockbuster, and you can get HD-DVD from their website. Good Selection too.

oh, didnt know that!

I use a 108i upconverter anyway, and am pleased enough with the quality
