All-Pro Football 2K8 -- 2K Sports announced the details regarding the release of All-Pro Football 2K8. The game will feature hundreds of legends combined with an attribute system that will showcasing the well-known, signature abilities of each football star.  All-Pro Football 2K8 is planned for release this summer for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare confirmed -- Call of Duty 4 is being developed by the orginal Call of Duty creators - Infinity Ward. COD4 is the next installment in the series. This time you will be going against terrorists from all over the world to stop them from a lethal Chemical, Biological and Radiological threat. You'll take control of the British S.A.S [Special Air Service] USMC [US Marine Corps] and the US ARMY.

Why no map editor for any 360 title?

Guitar Hero II update bricking some 360's -- The latest patch for the Xbox 360 version of Guitar Hero II was supposed to alleviate many of the concerns consumers had when they bought the game two weeks ago. But, on the Official Xbox Message Boards, many users are stating that the patch has bricked their consoles.  Many users have been claiming the game will consistently freeze, and upon rebooting either the Dashboard will freeze, or the console won’t come on at all, revealing those three fear stricken red lights of death.

Why short Halo 3 Beta?  Bungie claims -- "Well, obviously the number one reason is that the longer we're spending resources taking care of the Beta, the less time we're applying what we've learned from it to the final game."  The Bungie website man continues: "The reasons you're getting three maps is similar, but has as much to do with our normal production schedule as anything else. It's easier to think of why you're not getting the rest of the maps. They're not done yet." The multiplayer beta with its three playable maps goes live on May 16

Pay to find GOW cog tags -- Videos showing the locations of COG tags in Gears of War have been released on Xbox Live Marketplace, but you have to pay for them. There are individual videos for Acts 1 through to 5 and, ranging from between 51MB and 150MB in file size, cost 100 Microsoft Points each. Or 85 pence. Or £4.25 for all five.

Tom Clancy's EndWar announced -- Ubisoft has revealed the latest entry in the Tom Clancy series, EndWar, a strategy game set on the backdrop of World War III.  The game is being lead by Ubisoft's Shanghai studio and is set to release on next-gen consoles in fiscal year 2007/2008. According to Ubisoft EndWar was built from the ground up for consoles to "push the standards of technology, showcasing artificial intelligence, graphics, physics and animations that were not possible prior to the launch of the new hardware systems."

E3 not looking promising -- Reportedly, only 32 companies are signed up to take part in this year's E3.  The big-timers such as Microsoft, Nintendo, Sony, Electronic Arts, and Square Enix will still be making the hike. Still, going from some 400 exhibitors to less than 40 in a single year should make for a very different experience also considering that "only 3,000 to 4,000 invitations" will be sent out,

Why the Elite may be not so Elite
1. Three 360s is one too many - confusion, Microsoft doesn't know what it wants to be
2. It's still cheaper than the PS3 - PS3 still has the "elite" advantage when viewed by the affluent upper-class, but Microsoft's price advantage over the PS3 just got a whole lot smaller.
3. No wireless networking
4. The current 10 million 360 owners are getting the shaft
5. It will still be really loud. By not including a more efficient, cooler-running 65 nanometer processor, we assume the Elite will continue to pump out an irritating racket when turned on, primarily due to its noisy cooling fan.
6. No HD-DVD bundle
7. Someone tell Microsoft that white is the "new black."
8. The machine isn't intended for gamers. Ultimately, the Elite has nothing to do with enhancing the gameplay experience; it's for multimedia whores. HDMI, a larger hard drive, new movies and TV content?
