Here is a list of the top 10 essential things to take away from this year's show.
Reggie Fils Aimee: Video Market Place isn't worth a damn -- Talking to Brain Ashcraft at Kotaku.com, Reggie Fils Aimee, had this to say about the Microsoft Xbox 360 VideoMarket Place: `The Wii isn't going down the path of multi-media downloadable content." Halo 3 four player co-op semi confirmed -- In a video interview with Xbox.com's Major Nelson, Microsoft's Vice President of Global Marketing Jeff Bell just might have let one of Halo 3's long rumored secrets slip. Silent Hill 5 announced -- Representives at Konami slipped out before the conference, telling the world that something great would happen this morning during the conference. The greatness was Silent Hill V, to be released in 2008 on PS3 and Xbox 360. First images inside.
Posted: 1 year ago Geez, I can't seem to find the sweet spot with my sound. Either I'm too loud, or it's like this one, where it's too quiet. Sorry everyone.--------------------------------- 'I wanna get my knees dirty.' -- Gunnz, Netcast 37
Posted: 1 year ago Ok, I just had to pause the show to comment on Scene_It. I was watching the press release on my 360 and my wife was folding laundry in the living room. On the Scene_it announcement, my wife spoke. "we should get that". Coming from the wife who is not very enthusiastic about my xbox hobby, if she wants to get involved, its a must buy for me. We are big movie buffs anyways, and the possibilities for scene it on the xbox are very good. Consider this, Marketplace could sell a new scene it trivia pack every few months, all with new content, or even diverge into sections with Movie Classics, Musicals, War Movies, TV icons... You name it. So, no matter the goofy controllers or not, looks like we will be playing scene it in my house!--------------------------------- Use The Best... Posted: 1 year ago The sound was off for this episode. I have some ideas what we can do to improve it, but we need to get it perfect when we record it. Once it is recorded everything gets very hard to fix.Geekslive, you have to let us know if you do get the scene-it. If the game and those "beautiful" controllers can bring other users to the 360 that could be good, but then again..... ![]() --------------------------------- Do you Twitter? Follow hoZt
Posted: 1 year ago Its not that its stupid its just that it seems to be the biggest thing they had at E3 I would get it if I had a lot of people over the house you can play teams and everything theres is a range of things that you can do but we where just looking for more to come out the Keynote--------------------------------- You're local neighborhood friendly Hero

Posted: 1 year ago First of all, I REALLY like your podcast. The best thing is like hearing some friends commenting about games, pure and simple, no crappy stuff or sucking up.You were right on E3. I'm just a regular casual gamer, but the things I saw were like "so?". After Gears of War I thought that Xbox360 games were going into full gear but some of the releases either looked plain bland or did not have that much for me (I don't know about Stranglehold, but it seem like a Max Payne clone to me). I bought my 360 last December and I have games: GoW, Fight Night 3, PGR 3 and RS6 Vegas. None of the current games really have a lot of appeal to me. The Darkness? looks fine but reviews were great about Riddick and it was a good game, good but not a "second-coming game" as some reviews said it was. In my waiting list (which means I might buy them) I have: Ace Combat: I just love planes, even though it is more an arcade than a sim and missions can be repetitive, the "packaging" (story, cutscenes, soundtrack) make up for that. Left 4 dead: if the developer pulls out its objective of having a "reactive AI" that would make each play different (the AI will mix periods of tension with short, high-adrenaline moments when hordes of zombies attack you) this could be a step forward in game design. Sometimes I'm just tired of knowing exactly from where the enemy is coming after a few plays or endless spawning. Call of Duty 4: Even though it is probably going to be more of the same, I still like that more of the same. Hope the story does not suck. GTA IV: I think that almost everybody who loves games is waiting for that. It is going to be interesting how they are going to adapt to the realistic design, since previous GTA were somewhat cartoonish. Mass Effect: I have been waiting for this game for more than a year. It is not only that I love the way Bioware develops its games and stories (VERY important factor for me in almost any game), but the sci-fi just has a lot of appeal to me. I might leave some titles unmentioned, but those are the ones I currently have in mind. By the way, maybe you mentioned it in previous podcast but I did not get it. What you guys thought about the Hour of Victory demo? I thought it was so bad I even felt sorry for the developers: Call of Duty-clone, almost no freedom of movement, character design poorly implemented... I did not even finish the demo mission, it was that bad for me.
Posted: 1 year ago Thanks for the comment, Javier. Hour of Victory got a 2.5/10 from OXM this month, and that pretty much sums up my thoughts on it. As for Stranglehold, I think you all will be pleasantly surprised when it releases in August. But please don't call it a Max Payne clone! Max Payne's gameplay was HEAVILY inspired by early John Woo movies (there even make references to him and Chow Yun Fat in the first game as well). I liked Max Payne for what it was, but once people get their hands on a Stranglehold demo (which I'm told will come before the game is released), I think the game will become much more anticipated.--------------------------------- 'I wanna get my knees dirty.' -- Gunnz, Netcast 37
