An ok game     On: 2010-07-31

I was a little surprised with this game. Its ok, but I didnt enjoy it as much as any of the COD games or the games sequel BC2. It was a little too hard and your teammates are kind of annoying. Also the replay value isnt good. Only beat it twice before getting bored of it. Still, its pretty fun the first few times around.
Present for my Grandson     On: 2010-07-12

I bought this game for my grandsons Birthday & he absolutely LOVES it. Plays all the time.
He turned 12 on June 24th....It arrived way before his Birthday, which pleased me very much!
If ever i need to do business again with that company, it would be my pleasure.
Bad Company 1 Review     On: 2010-05-24

Very good game. I enjoyed it. Just like real life. The graphics are better than call of duty 4 and beyond. The sound is much better and more realistic. get this game!
Two years and still going strong     On: 2010-05-13

No doubt youve already read all the other countess reviews of this game. No game has held my attention this long in multiplayer. Ive been playing this for almost two years now and still waiting for a suitable replacement. Even the sequel isnt as good as the original. If you like large, open battles with tons of vehicles and cool unlockables, this is the way to go. The multiplayer aspects of this game beats COD4 hands-down. (Unless of course you like small maps with no vehicles).
Old game, still fun     On: 2010-05-10

I bought this out of curiosity of what the latest release would be like. Overall I am having fun playing it and of course cant beat the price I paid. Single Player is enjoyable, Multiplayer, well I think its the servers that sort of make that less than fun.
Fantastic     On: 2010-04-16

I had been wanting to play this game for quite some time. The Amazon warehouse discount finally gave me that chance. I was able to get the game cheaper than anywhere else. Once I started playing the game, I was hooked. The character interaction was funny and original for a shooter/war game. It was an easy game to just jump into and feel comfortable with. I only wish the game were a little longer. Though there is limited options for online, it is still fun. The vehicles (attack helicopter especially) make it great.
Bad Company - not as good as COD, Rainbow6     On: 2010-04-12

The ads for this game over sell it and it is ok but does not compete with any of the COD games or Rainbow Six. I saw ads that made it look comparable, but its more cartoony and tries to be funny - some people might like that, I prefer the reality that COD and Rainbow offer.
Bad company     On: 2010-04-01

I enjoy the game, though I played it after having played Modern warfare! If you have played Modern warfare, playing any of the older games is rather anti climatic! :-)
Bad Company Battlefield     On: 2010-03-13

This video game is just average in modern day standards. Maybe four or five years ago I would have rated it higher but with the quality of the games coming out today it is difficult to rate it higher than I have.
You're in bad company now...     On: 2010-03-12

This game is awesome!!! If you have a 360, then this game is a must have! This is a great multiplayer game, although, it does have a campaign that is also fun. It has a lot of humor in it. It does have a lot of swearing in it though, not that I mind. So, if you like FPS (First person shooter) games, then you HAVE TO GET THIS GAME! By the way, it has the best graphics in any game I have ever seen in my life! You can blow up buildings to!

Pros:Great graphics
Great multiplayer
Good single player campaign
Storyline is great
ROFL humor!
Destructible enviroment

Cons:No split-screen gameplay
I cant think of anything else!

Happy shootin!
This is a good game     On: 2010-03-11

I dont know what some people are thinkin when they say the graphics look like the Atari Jaguar. This is one of the most beautiful games Ive seen. Its fun, funny and nice to look at. I love it.
BATTLEFIELD BAD COMPANY BEST FPS     On: 2010-02-26

The game is great. Only the sighing on the guns is draw back. The New BFBC2 will fix that and will dominate FPS from here on in as being the most realistic and action packed Outdoing anyother game. Well done BFBC, I cant wait to play the new one on March 2nd you all are awesome, keep up the great work! Long live BATTLEFIELD
Not Call of Duty, but Who Cares?!     On: 2010-02-23

Certainly one of the most enjoyable single and multiplayer games Ive ever played. The AI in the single player mode leaves a little to be desired, but hey, thats why they call it "single" player - your AI compadres shouldnt do all the work, should they?

Graphics and sound are excellent and provide a nice feel to the chaos of battle. The destructible environments, clever story telling, simple controls, and excellent vehicles make this game a very decent counterpart to the dominant Call of Duty series. Online multiplayer gameplay is excellent and challenging, while maintaining the clever and witty feel of the single player mode.

Whether you are a die-hard Halo fanatic or a Call of Duty pro, you will certainly not be disappointed - buy this game today!
Addicting, great single and multiplayer game!     On: 2010-02-16

I quickly got dragged into the singleplayer storyline. A lot less linear gameplay than CoD titles. It has you scouring maps for hidden gems, plotting out different routes through each mission. Great variance in types of gameplay, from house-to-house fighting in cities to sniping and tank battles. Really looking forward to the sequel.
Great Game.     On: 2010-02-13

I recently buy this game because i enjoy the demo from Bad Company 2 so I give this game a try. The game is a lot of fun if you like FPS, the single player is Ok but the multiplayer is a blast to play. The only problem is that the game freeze sometimes when Im playing it online, i dont believe is my xbox 360 because I play a lot of games with no problems at all, and the hardware is jasper chipset and well ventilate and have some friends have the same freezing problem playing this game Online.

About the product shipping and condition is A+ from amazon. thank you.
Unlimited Destruction     On: 2010-01-29

This is an AMAZING game with unlimited flanking, sniping points, vehicles (and thier uses) ,and more... and also OUT OF CONTROL destruction (gotta love it)a great story line that reminds you of the greedy rebel in all of us (LOL)
Also, must admit that although being able to blow up a tank with a power drill is unrealistic it is a FUN alternative to a rocket launcher.
However fun the game is, my ONLY complaint is the constant cussing which is a little grating on the ears, other than that for all you FPS lovers out there. BUY THIS GAME!!
Really cheesy and not that great.     On: 2010-01-26

Id say this game is just decent. It looks good and other technical things, but is really cheesy and just isnt fun to play.
Very Good FPS     On: 2010-01-14

I really enjoyed playing this game. The graphics are great and there is excellent variety in the gameplay - you get to drive a tank, pilot an attack chopper, order JDAM strikes, etc. The only problem I had with the game was that, at times, it was difficult to identify the enemy. This problem has been pointed out by some other reviewers - it has to do with the viewing angles provided by the game and the way the terrain is displayed. The problem is somewhat difficult to describe but the game is definetly worth playing.

better than i thiught it was going to be     On: 2010-01-12

it is all right game to the beginner gamer. if you are used to playing call of duty 2 then you might not think it is that good. i like how you can go around bombing building but over all alright game.
Bad company     On: 2010-01-06

This is the third of the four battlefield games in the series, one starting on pc, two on ps2 one of my favorite war games for the ps2 and now three for xbox 360. This was one of my first games that i bought for the 360 and i still sometimes play it. First of all the sounds and graphics are better then the best, COD MW2 and better than most of the 360 games. This game with sourround sound is would be awesome. The story of it is that you got trasfered to Bad Company along with your sarge (Redford), explosives master (Haggard a.k.a funny one) and tech geek sweetwater. They were sent off to defeat the russians but then they found the gold. This game is an awesome game considering that its a comedy war game. There are eight great missions to beat with many weapons, sandboxes, trasports, and battlefields. This is a very realistic and fun/funny game that i would suggest for a first war game for live or just to play. The live for this game has different modes and things to do. Great game for only $20 bucks!
Bad Company is war-time action comedy     On: 2009-12-31

There is very little drama to Bad Company. It is not that type of game. The graphics, however, are quite good, and its a lot of fun running around blowing up everything in sight. As a parent I like that there is no blood and gore, although it might make war seem a little too fun. You never have to worry about hurting civilians, your companions cant get killed because it would change the story line, and you can die and re-spawn over and over again. The only penalty to getting killed is you have to walk a ways to get back to where you were. The game is also not for history buffs. It does not recreate a realistic WWII battlefield despite the title. However, as an entertaining game which doesnt take itself too seriously, it is quite fun.
excellent game     On: 2009-12-26

i personally like third-perrson shooters but this first person shooter is amazing the graphics are so realistic on my hdtv and the gameplay is amazing i would reccomend this product to anyone who is a fan of war games
Battlefield: Best Company     On: 2009-12-18

Most significant aspect abbout this game is its great multiplayer, Capture The Flag & Gold Rush, compares to that of Gears of War 2, Halo 3, and Call of Duty 4. I enjoyed playing online almost more than the actual single player.

There arent even ten missions in the game, but each is very long. There is a mass amount of weapons, although you can only carry two at a time, and explosives throughout the game. You can also give commands to your comrades and drive vehicles like tanks, boats, and even golf carts. Unlike games nowadays where you heal by waiting in the corner, in this game you must inject yourself with a shot that you carry around throughout the game.

Bottom line is if you already have the Call of Duty games and want another war game GET THIS, especially over MOH Airborne, Frontline, & Hells Highway.

Hey! One second, let me destroy this wall. *boom*, okay, what were you saying?     On: 2009-11-30

The legendary Battlefield series makes its first appearance on the next-gen consoles with Battlefield: Bad Company 2. Packed with humor, explosions, and a huge array of vehicles this is truly a Battlefield game.

One of the core gameplay mechanics is the ability to destroy the environment, you can use a grenade launcher on the wall of a house and the wall will blow apart, and cease to exist. It is a lot of fun, and once you play this, games with static environments like Call of Duty will bore you.

For most of the singleplayer you will be with your squad, Bad Company, there are three squad mates, and they each have their own personality, and they will discuss various topics, and make you laugh while doing it. The story is engaging, and this might sound strange, but you can understand what is going on at all times, its very clear and well written.

But, you arent going to be buying this for the singpleplayer, Battlefield games have always prided themselves on fun and addicting multiplayer, and Bad Company has some of the best multiplayer I have played on a next-gen console. The destruction is present in the multiplayer, so if someone is camping from inside a house, you can just blow the house up with a tank, C4, RPG or helicopter.

There are two game-modes, Rush and Conquest. In Rush you are trying to destroy a pair of objectives while the other team defends.

In Conquest you capture control points, and whichever team has the majority of the control points will cause the other team to lose their reinforcements. Its complicated to explain, but let me tell you, it is very, very fun.

Overall Battlefield: Bad Company is a great experience for both the singleplayer and multiplayer. I have spent over 75 hours playing the multiplayer and have loved every minute of it.
Great Game     On: 2009-10-27

Great shooter game. The only thing I can say that is negative is that the aiming could use some fine tuning, needs more fluidity. Otherwise, intense and fun. reccomended.
Bad Company is better than COD4     On: 2009-10-23

People always say that COD4 is better than BC and there is only one reason they have a point: splitscreen.
BC beats COD4 in basically e/t else.
Pros:
+The sound is the most incredible I have ever heard.
+Dialog- hilarious.
+Graphics (obviously)- the best Ive ever seen in my life. I mean, the explosions are so awesome.
+Gameplay: the controls are easier than COD4, like you can crouch with the analog stick, and instead of pretending to be real and doing a 7.5 of 10 job, this game just says "Lets have some explosions" but still mananges to make the game VERY realistic. (People comlpain about the accuracy of the guns, and how the aiming shakes, but when youre in the army, you cannot possibly hold an M16 perfectly still and choose which eye of the person to hit from 400 yrds away.)Plus, walls actually explode.
+AI: The bad guys know its smarter to hide and stay alive than be a hero and get killed, also showing how realistic it is b/c only terrorists go fr the 2nd option.
+Views: Great landscapes and stufff.
+Vehicles: Fun to drive. Before this, I had never ridden a golf cart while being chased by a tank.
+Weapons: A LOT of them.
Cons:
-NO SPLITSCREEN. the only thing that brings my 6 of 5 to a 5 of 5.
-they should add controls for swimming. (not really a con, just an idea.)
-the AI spot you sometines WAY too easily and sometimes dont spot you at all.
-another non-con, the driving doesnt let you go very fast or drift or anything.
END NOTICE: For all of you who have any cons with this game I think BC2 is scheduled to release in early 10. Personally, Ill wait till NEXT winter and grab BC2 for cheap.
P.S. this review is only singleplayer. I lost live like 5 months ago and spent all that time on halo 3.
Solid     On: 2009-10-06

Solid FPS from EA.

Pros:
* Decent storyline
* Tons of weapons
* Destructive environments are an absolute blast
* Vehicles can be fun
* Fair amount of difficulty on "Hard" to make the game enjoyable.
* Funny

Cons (Wishlist):
* A cover mechanic a la Gears of War would send this game over the top
* Sprinting similar to Quantum of Solace would be nice especially during some very hairy battles
* Targeting in some vehicles, especially the tanks, proved problematic; wish the developer added a left trigger gunner view.

If you can get past some of the cover mechanic nuances this games is one of the best.
Very fun Shooter     On: 2009-09-26

I bought this game on release day for the playstation 3 when my roomate had one. Sad to say that the PS3 that i ordered on Amazon never showed. I ended up getting a 360 and bought the game again and i still have it. Their are fewer people that play so playing with friends is better and earning the patches is faster. This Game has been out for over a year and i will not be able to let this game go for the love of the online game.

Online: So it was only attack and defend the gold crates for several months which was blow up the gold and more of the map will be available. Once the gold has been destroyed, you get reenforcements for a longer game. Now they have control points which are 5 flags that your have to capture which can be downloaded for free. Once all 5 flags have been crontrolled, the game ends and not to mention that their are 3 new maps to downwoald for free but only for this portion of online. Thier are different classes to choose from like assault, special ops, demolition, sniper and heavy machine gunner. Playing online and ranking up gives you a point after so many times you have ranked up for the ability to unlock certian items like the injector for assault, med packs for machine gunner or C-4 for special ops. You are also able to unlock other weapons and each class has about 3 weapons to unlock. Their are special weapons that you can unlock but only 4 out of the 5 can be found in a gameinformer or the web. What i love about battlefield is that the maps are bigger than COD and the ability to drive tanks, small tanks, transports vehicles and helocopters and not to mention the artillary gun.

Single player: I played the game on normal and then on hard and i did not see a major difference except for the final missions. You do carry an injector that brings your health back but their is never any downside and its unlimited. If you played the Balltefield: Modern Warfe the play style is different, you play as the rookie so their is no more changing charaters. I thought this game was boring at times and needed more action.

Downside: No more parachutes and transport helicopters. You also cant lay down which is stupid.

Get the game and its not bad at the price you can get it at here in amazon.
I hated this game     On: 2009-09-13

I play a lot of these kind of games, but I thought this game sucked. I couldnt get into it at all. I tried playing it online as well and just hated this game. You cant even change the controller configuration or brightness, which made me hate it even more. If I could give this game negative stars, I would.

I guess it depends on the player though, since a friend of mine highly recommended this game.
Total destruction     On: 2009-09-05

Battlefield bad company is an awesome game. Fun to play, good story, funny characters, and you can destroy pretty much anything on the map. Does a game need anything else?
Well worth a look     On: 2009-08-22

For the bargain price of Bad Company it is well worth taking a look. Both the single player and especially the multiplayer are very good. I never thought I would find something that would pull me away from Modern Warfare & World & War online but this has done it. It is not better than them, more a different style of warfare which was a very nice surprise. For the price, the play time it will give you will be the best bang for your dollar.
Great online game     On: 2009-08-18

the regular campaign game was good but nothing special. the online version however was AWESOME. i recommend this game to everyone that has xbox live to play on.
This game is a blast....literally.     On: 2009-07-11

Ive had this game for a few days now and have played for several hours and so far I have been very impressed. You are part of a small team of soldiers that are put on "B" company because they are the ones that are expendable. They do all the grunt work. There were two things that really stuck out to me while initially playing this game. First, you can blow up just about anything in this game and it is fun doing it. How many times have you played a game and launched an explosive at a building and it blew up and did not damage to the building? Not so here. If you have guys holed up in a building you can just blow a hole in the back wall and storm in and take them out. Have a guy hiding behind a window peppering you with gunfire? Use your grenade launcher and take out the whole wall along with him. Its a, forgive the pun, blast. Secondly, the sound effects are really good in this game. I love the way the guns sound when you shoot them. Its not just bang, bang. They have a resonance to them that is actually quite immersive. You feel like its a real gun you are hearing. The only complaint I have so far is that the missions are quite short. You storm a town and have to take out the enemy squad and a tank, which may take you 10 minutes, then a short cut scene telling you what to do next. Go to another area, have a 5-10 minute battle and another cut scene. Again, Im only a few hours into it so I dont know if this continues throughout the whole game or not. Now, it is a fun 5-10 minutes, but it reduces the suspense you get when playing games like Call of Duty when a battles seem like they last forever. Battlefield: Bad Company feels like a whole bunch of skirmishes put together instead of once long sustained battle. Its still fun, but not perfect. For the price Amazon has it for now, less than $20, it is definitely a must buy for those waiting for the next big shooter to come along.
not bad, not great     On: 2009-07-05

as the subject says, its not bad, but its not a great game either. its not one youll be like oh man i gotta play that, 5 years down the road, but its fun enough to keep you entertained.

its biggest failing is how repetitive it is every mission, every town feels the exact same.
How a FPS should be     On: 2009-06-17

I had doubts about this game earlier so i decided to purchase it recently when the price dropped to 20 bucks. Im happy I saved 40 bucks cuz i got 2 more games with it after purchasing Bad Company. But had I bought it full price it would have been worth EVERY PENNY. The game is nearly perfect. Graphics were good not great when i first started to play but when i started blowing stuff up I completely accepted the fact that the visuals were inferior to COD4. Fell in love with the sound effects. Gameplay mechanics are a little confusing at first and a little hard to get used to but you manage somehow. Destructible environments give you a more tactical approach to completing the missions that few other shooters offer. Whats a little annoying is that u cant make your own choices between which primary and secondary weapons to carry.(sniper rifle comes with a pistol that u cant exchange for anything better, some assault rifles come with grenade launcher, others rifles shotguns come with hand grenades)

The part Im most disappointed in is that there are absolutely no offline multiplayer. Had there been campaign co-op or offline deathmatch it would have been alot more fun then it already is. On the plus side, the online multiplayer really pulls its weight. Anyone who is a fan of FPS and interested in this game, i advise you NOT to think about it and pick it up ASAP.
it was alright     On: 2009-06-12

i got this for my husband for an early fathers day and he says its alright, sometimes you get tunnel vision and cant see as good as other first-person shooting. i was under the impression that it was a 2 player game but its 1 player unless you go online, only then can you play multiplayer. its seems funny and has good music though.
Pretty good     On: 2009-06-01

Now the online was very fun thats why I gave it four stars overall the one player yeah wasnt so great but honestly Id recommend this game because the online was great you can basically blow up anything.
One of the best FPS's EVER     On: 2009-04-29

Ive never played this game online, but I can say without hesitation that the single player campaign is one of the funnest I have ever played. The sound effects are top notch (there really arent enough good things to be said for this part of the game), the graphics are beautifully rendered (as are the havoc and destruction youll create), and the storyline and characters are all humorous and engaging. If youre interested in arcade-type first person shooters that emphasize thrills over realism then this is absolutely the game for you.
great online play     On: 2009-04-15

the game arrived in great condition, fast. Great game for online play very realistic demolition engine.
Battlefield Great Company     On: 2009-04-12

This game has very enjoyable singleplayer and multiplayer. I, being a former singleplayer man myself didnt try multiplayer until I beat singleplayer.(I know strange.)However, the singleplayer and its terrible geeky jokes only last so long. The multiplayer is an incredible experience.I recommend playing ranked matches because I am told that you cant get unlocks in player matches. Along with the regular unlocks there a handful of extremely powerful unlocks at level 25!I am still playing until I get to 25.(I have been playing for a while and Im not even close to 25.)Most of the regular unlocks are weapons that you find in story mode.

This came did not replace cod4(in my mind it could.)but it game pretty close. If you get this game Have Happy Headshots!
Is this game a secret?     On: 2009-03-31

I think this game is better than any of the COD games. No infinite enemies spawning, not as linear, great graphics, big environment and most everything blows up. Co-Op would be a big plus with all the vehicles, etc..I am going Live because of this game.
Destruction of Environment     On: 2009-03-26

Pros:
This game is great. You can destroy 90% if not more of the environment. My friends and I play this game online with each other all the time. You and your friends can play as a squad and only have to talk to eachother.

Cons:
While playing online EA use to throw people off who lagged way to bad. Now they dont seem to care anymore. Though you and your friends can play as a squad it would be helpful to have a way to speak to your entire team at certain points in the game.
Fun game     On: 2009-03-19

the graphics and sound quality beat anything on the market.this is the only game for the consoles that has crysis level High Definition.the multiplayer is fun, though Playstation 3 offers more mature players since $[...] is a little steep for the rug rats that inhibit the 360 online universe.
Dice's best yet     On: 2009-02-27

HOW DID THEY MANAGE A GAME THIS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A dramatic story filled with attitude (must be over 10 to even think about this games language) (no F-bombs) The BF series has never really had story, just over the top action. this is the first to feature something this big. 24 player online battles via Xbox live and Playstation network. this is the first video game to feature FULLY DESTRUCTIBLE ENVIRONMENTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 92% of everything is an explosion waiting to happen. a sniper in a window? blow the window up!!!!!!!!!!! the singleplayer experience is lacking, featuring 5 30 minute missions. if you are offline, no real point in this game. those online, get off your lazy butts reading this review and go buy it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (no offense, just a way of promoting this game)
Battlefield: Bad Company (standard edition, XBOX 360 version) review     On: 2009-02-08

Above average in fun, humor, and destructibility of environments. Not as good as Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare or Call of Duty: World at War. Those two are actually my favorites in the FPS category. The sound and visuals are excellent, however. I do recommend it for fans of the genre who cant get enough of FPS play. Also, unlike the two other games I mentioned earlier, the missile launcher available as a standard kit during multiplayer mode in this game is capable of homing in on a target. The target just has to be tagged with the Support Specialists dart gun, first, which encourages additional teamwork in the multiplayer mode.
BF2 for PC Remains Supreme.     On: 2009-01-23

I am a huge fan of BF2 PC so I built this game up a lot when I heard about it. I got this game becuase it has some amazing new features. I just didnt expect so much to be dropped.

First, there is no "prone" position for your guy. This is really frustrating to anyone used to playing BF2 Multiplayer. You can only crouch, or stand up.

Second, BF2 holds 64 players, BFBadCompany holds 24.

Third, enemies take too many bullets to go down. Its something I didnt like about BF2, and its worse in this game.

Fourth, no clear orders are sent to squads, and no UAV.

All this takes away from the strategy I loved about BF2.

There are some cool new features like exploding walls, new vehicles, mortor strikes, etc., but It still feels VERY generic, and has LESS realistic fighting combined with a more realistic environment.

Do not expect an upgraded BF2, if you love BF2 I would not recommend Bad Company as a replacement. Buy a graphics card for your PC.

This game is fun, but I was severly disappointed in its play. It seems like a lot was taken out to give it the new features that make it "better", but I think its worse.

A Very Fun Explosive Shooter!!!     On: 2009-01-14

I dont have Xbox Live so Im missing out on multiplayer, but that dosent bother me so much. Ill start with the positvies.

+ Everything Blows Up!!! I always hated games where you shot a rocket launcher at a table when an enemy is behind it, and you hit the table, and nothing happens. This dosent apply to this game.

+ Lots of Vehicles!!! I love driving trucks and tanks around, instead of walking and walking and walking! Driving the golf carts are also fun.

+ Its Funny!!! Youll see some pretty funny things, without the personality of the squad, this game would be boring.

+ Tons of Weapons!!! Theres probably over 50 weapons in the singleplayer game. Sometimes I didnt know which gun I wanted to keep, theres so many!

+ Battlefields are huge, and you can tackle a town or farm, in tons of ways.

Has a couple nuetral spots...

+/- The Singleplayer Length, it is a decent length and takes only took a week to beat at the rate I played it, but it did satisfty me at the end, and didnt whine for it to be longer, and has some replay value.

+/- This isnt a big deal, I mean not at all, but it takes like 15 shots with a machine gun, to kill an enemy!

+/- Hardly any music, but that wont bother you, since theres plenty of bullets going around that it dosent need it, but it would be a nice touch.

The dreaded negatives...

- The Enemies, over half the time I dont know whats shooting me! Im getting hit over and over, and when Im about dead, I finally see them.

- Easy is too hard, and Hard is too easy, I expect easy, to be easy enough to get through a level without dying with not much of a struggle, hard I expect to be taking cover, dying, running for my life, and cussing at the game. (This game dosent do that)

- The Squad is funny, but pretty useless, they always follow your lead, so when you run into an enemy, youll take the heat, also it sometimes makes me think how four guys can take so many towns.

This game has way more positives, but I just noticed the negatives more. This game is one of the most fun games Ive ever played. My mom, yes Im only 14, dosent let me play M games, and this is as good as Shooting Games get at a T rating. Awsome Game, BUY THIS if you like first-person shooting games and your mom dosent let you play M games! 4.5 out of 5 Stars.
A Very Fun Explosive Non-Linear Shooter!!!     On: 2009-01-14

- Medium Difficulty is to hard! Im probably just a bad gamer, but its pretty hard.

- When you take cover, its blown up! So you have to keep running to another wall, to be safe.

-The Squad is funny, but pretty useless, they always follow your lead, so when you run into an enemy, youll take the heat, also it sometimes makes me think how four guys can take so many towns.

4.5 out of 10.
This a great game     On: 2008-11-26

When i first got this game i thought it was going to be just a decent game but it turns out the realism of total destruction of the world around you is really good. The game has you go to good teamwork to win a mtach since takeing the objectives is squenced based. The Tanks, jeeps, apcs are all well designed, i recomend it to all want a good warfare experience
Not gonna win game of the year, but...     On: 2008-11-11

Still, this is a solid FPS. Its a lot of fun, and youll solve it in about a day on easy. For those of us who are gun nuts, there is a huge and detailed selection of weaponry to choose from and collect, and the humor of the characters is, in my opinion, some of the funniest dialogue Ive heard in a game. Its more or less realistic, although you cant destroy everything around you like in Mercs 2, but it offers a good enough reward system for playing it through. Id rent it, or buy it when it goes a little lower in price.
worth buying     On: 2008-11-10

Great visuals, funny light hearted squad members troughout the game with a interesting story to the end.Controls are what they should be and the team members AI is some of the best ive seen so far.Enamy Ai isnt the best but on the hardest seting I found it quite chalanging.Beating the game on harder settings dont unlock the lower achivements,I guess to add replay value.I personally didnt like that idea.Great game overall.
This is an amazing game!     On: 2008-11-05

I havent beat the game yet but have been playing for several days. This game really is a lot of fun. The graphics are extremely well done, the game play allows for a lot of freedom to do what you want. I love the fact that you can actually blow holes in walls which is handy when you are to lazy to find the door! The game has boats, tanks, trucks, helicopters and many other vehicles that you are allowed to drive, it has many guns from mini guns to missile launchers, laser guided missiles, etc. Overall the game play is well done. I love the joking comments the characters make to each-other as it really gives the game a great personality.

I definitely recommend playing this game.
Great FPS Game     On: 2008-10-29

I really enjoyed this game. It had a great dimension to it. I really liked how objects were destructible. The campaign was really fun and provided hours of enjoyable game play. The multi-player was fun as well, I wish it had the kill-cam like call of duty 4 though. That is very nice to have, but it was still fun.
Failed execution.     On: 2008-10-20

Simply enough, this game is dull, repetitive, derivative, and frustrating to play. The most painful part is that the A.I. is horribly flawed. Theyre extremely stupid but have superhuman accuracy and are impossible to sneak up on unless you are about a mile away with a sniper rifle. The story was unsatisfying at best, with the hint of a sequel, because Lord knows we need a Bad Company 2, 3, and 4. The intent and potential for a great game was there. But the road to hell is paved with good intentions, and somehow DICE really screwed the pooch on this one.

Dont buy this.
Awesome game, best FPS out there!!!     On: 2008-10-15

I have read some reviews and a few of them say that this game seems inferior compare to Call of Duty 4, to me thats weird because in my opinion this game is far better in almost every way.

The new Frostbite technology make this game a very realistic experience specially when you can destroy basically every thing that comes across your sight.

With this game you have more and longer missions than COD4 to me thats a big plus since I prefer to take my gaming of line.

Great missions and entertaining Characters with good sense of humor makes a nice combination.

To be honest I hated Battlefield 2 but rest assure that this is a completely different game, better in every way.

Overall I give 5 stars to this game because the developers make an awesome job presenting an entertaining game with a completely destructible environment.
Easy does it, Dice     On: 2008-10-03

Ok I understand that one of the main points of the game is destructibility, but when it goes as far as being able to demolish a strong wooden fence with your five inch dagger-blade, it gets a bit ridiculous. Also I have the ability to take down a tree with one bullet. I just think that they should make the destruction a little more believable. Otherwise, this game is perfect. Haggard and Sweetwater are quite entertaining and I chuckle at their wisecrack jokes. The weapons are realistic and they make the greatest reloading sound youll ever hear. Thats another thing, the sounds are amazing. Theoretically, after an explosion, I could say "I couldnt have said that explosion better." They have the initial explosion, then the rubble and dust falling to the ground, which makes you feel like youre in the game.
I forgot to mention something: the unlimited sprinting does give you a false sense of accomplishment when you escape a horde of enemies, as well as the syringe that you can heal yourself with at any time.
This game is exactly like call of duty 4, just less somber and serious. The multiplayer has the same concepts, having the +10 after every kill, giving you vivid memories of getting those ten points off of a kill.
In terms of kids between the ages of 13 and 15, parents, do not be alarmed at the fact that the characters carry guns. Your child will never see a drop of blood, nor is the game disturbing at any point. If youre reading this with your child, Im sure hes giving you that look of hope as if I am his savior. Ill take the time to say your welcome to your son. Really, its not that bad at all. Oh and Im Pamela Mizrachis son, not Pamela Mizrachi, just to clarify that.
Fantastic job, boys, keep the good games coming.

Awesome!     On: 2008-09-30

Single Player is ok, but the XBox Live multiplayer is so GREAT that it brings the game a solid 5 star rating! Hours and hours of tremendous fun!
Okay shooter     On: 2008-09-17

Single player review:
I really wanted to like this game more, but something about the gameplay didnt do it for me. Maybe it was having infinite medicine, or the fact that the enemy doesnt respawn with each continuation, or getting shot at out of nowhere constantly, or buildings all having the same floorplans, or all the environments looking too similar, or the graphics being just okay. The only cool things were the weapons and the destructable buildings, but that only goes so far. COD4 is still the best shooter out there.
Good Overall Shooter     On: 2008-09-17

Good, fun shooter but it seemed a little short. I think the graphics are good and the game play is well done. It is good if you want a shooter that has vehicles and has a squad. However, the guys in the squad cannot die which was a downside.
Online multiplayer battles will rock you     On: 2008-09-14

First of all I have never played COD 4--shocking I know. So I cant compare BF:BC to that. Also, I have barely touched the sigle player campaign here, so I know zilch about it. What I can say is the Battlefield online multiplayer experience is outstanding. The playability is in my opinion far better than Halo 3 online and H3 of course is no slouch. I was always a big fan of H3 big team battle. Battlefield takes that environment to the next level. 12 vs 12 in an online environment that is about .3 miles wide and 1.5 miles long...incredible. And there isnt a building that you cannot enter and use tactically. The 90% destructible environment may sound like a gimmick but it is impressive...play and you will understand. While its not absolutely perfect, it seems a lot of thought was put into balancing everything. There are 5 player types and I find myself using them all at different times within a game depending on the situation. The weapons all have their own strengths and weaknesses. You will enjoy figuring out which ones you prefer over time because it wont be immediately obvious. This is a very deep gaming experience. Every battle plays out differently. The squad play is good. You will not be in communication with most of your team and that bothers some, but surprisingly (at least with the golden crate mode) it doesnt present a huge issue. Everyone is driving to the objective and helping each other out. In fact as new people cycle into your squad there is a lot of sportsmanship/civility and youll be building your friends list faster than in Halo 3 where 90% players seem to be 13 years with severe emotional problems. Lastly, sound is fantastic in this game.

So what are the problems? Very few problems. But heres a short list. I dont think these things deter from the gameplay much at all, but here they are:

1. Drab environment, not colorful like H3
2. From a distance, other players can look 2D at times. Like cardboard cutouts.
3. Doesnt quite have the in-game physics of H3...plenty good enough though.
4. Less arcadey than H3...so fewer moments like "oh my lord I just jumped a gorge in my warthog but Jimmy sniped me in mid air". Lots of wild stories come out of H3 games. Doesnt happen as frequently here. Just as fun but more of a simulation vibe here.
5. Difficult to link up with more than 3 of your friends at a time. Additional friends can join your game and get into other squads, but not into yours.

I like me some Bad Company     On: 2008-09-14

Battlefield 2 Modern Combat was ok, but didnt have that aura that bf2 of bf2142 had on the pc. So instead of rehashing the game DICE did something completely different and made a new bf game from the ground up. My oh my, they did a hell of a job.

First the technical stuff, the sound, awesome as always, never expect anything less from DICE. The graphics are superb, great detail, excellent light and shadow effects and fantastic landscapes. Battlefield has always been the sort of game to make you feel youre on a real warzone, but this is probably their best by far. The destructible environments are here and are quite impressive, you cant destroy a whole house into rubble, but if you could, be pretty unfair wouldnt it?

The singleplayer is good but nothing mind blowing. Still feels good to walk around and do whatever you like, reminded me of oblivion more than a couple of times. The multiplayer...come on, its a battlefield game, do you really expect anything less than perfection? The game still maintains a nice balance, nobody is too strong or too weak and all serve their own job and purpose. The unlocks system is simple enough, you get a credit and you go buy a new toy with it (excuse me weapon :P). The dogtag collection from bf2142 is here as well and its a lot of fun to go around and take out people who annoy you more than once. The destructible environments are a blast...literally. Its a nice little thing to add to the already popular battlefield gameplay.

So what are the flaws? Well, its laggy, sometimes its barely noticeable, and other times...yea, lets not go there. Theres no squads or commanders in this bf game either (well you have squads but youre matched up randomly so it doesnt really help towards teamwork since some people are lone wolves and prefer to stay that way). You can only talk to people in your squad, if they talk back that is. Plus theres all the typical bugs and glitches thatll be patched up in due time, hopefully.

Overall, this is a great addition to the franchise and even greater addition to your collection. For a console shooter, doesnt get any better than this.
Best in a LONG while.     On: 2008-09-08

Hmm., where to start?. First a critic i am not nor do i pretend to be. Second i cannot and will not compare this game with other games released now or previously, its not the way to do a review, this is my input only. Battlefield Bad Company rocked my world when inserted into my trusty Xbox 360, i fired up the Sony surround and clicked on the Toshiba 37" 1080i and hunkered down with my faithful companion "Zepper", a Dachshund who has enjoyed video games with me for 14 years now and waited through the intro full well expecting to be blown away by the awesome gameplay of sights and sounds. Welllllll let me tell you i was instantly in love with the game from the music to the character animation right down to the humor and weapon sounds. I had read somewhere that some damage modeling was incorporated and you could blow stuff up, but i was not prepared for the amount that was destructible!, trees, bridges, buildings, you can, to a point, even terra form the surrounding landscape if that be your desire.
Playing the game gets a bit tedious at times, you need to complete objectives before you can advance, but with some ingenuity and a little imagination you can turn that tedium into a great time. This game from my stand point and my opinion was/is very enjoyable. Online play is a different world all together. The graphics stay crisp, everything runs smooth with minimal glitching, the servers for the most part rarely bog down, although you will find yourself standing still or kneeling setting up a sniper shot when all of a sudden you might start "sliding" left or maybe right but as i recall thats only happend two or three times to me out of countless hours of online play.
Ok i have said enough, or maybe not enough?, rent, buy or borrow this game you will not be dissapointed, try not to compare it with other games in the same genre but keep a open mind and enjoy it for its originality and for having the balls to go where other games have gone before, and do it well they did.
Thats my take on Battlefield Bad Company, happy gaming recruits and lifers alike.
Okay but doesnt last too long     On: 2008-09-06

when i bought this i was impressed, loved to blow stuff up ya know the campaign was fun with the short cinematics and sort of funny acts but after that u have multiplayer next, good after a while but the one mode they had of capture the gold got me sick of the game fast until conquest came and got me on it a little bit more but really samething really wont last that long.Until the future were their will be more download content for this game it will be good like more flying vehicles..
A Solid Game     On: 2008-09-06

I enjoyed this game but I got the impression from the commercials that this was going to be a more lighthearted game. I realize that war games arent supposed to be wacky good-times, but the commercials made it sound like humor was going to be more a part of the game than it was. There is some, just not as much as I expected. It is good as a straight war-oriented game and I enjoyed it on that level, however.
The best WWII shooter so far     On: 2008-09-05

I know I am strange...a grandfather who enjoys playing games on the XBox. I bought it to entice my 14 y/o grandson. I have played several games on my PC and now several on the XBox. I much prefer the controls you have with the XBox.

This game is plain fun. It is rather difficult, even in the "easy" mode. I got my grandson to help me through one particularly tough spot. I never thought to land my sick helicopter and look for a repair kit!
Sweet but flawed     On: 2008-09-04

Aiming is weird. a potential buyer should definately not expect a call of duty 4 experience. the controls are ok. graphics pretty cool but not crisp (i play on 1080). The biggest thing i complain about is the need to watch how you shoot. for example you aim at someones chest and by the first second you pull the trigger the aiming reticule flys way up. It takes some patience to get it down. Multiplayer is pretty cool. lots of unlockables and a ranking system. its definatly a good substitute for halo 3 or cod 4 if youre getting desperate. Overall id buy it again but remember its no cod 4. but seriously what could beat call of duty 4 besides the next cod.
Back to the Battlefield     On: 2008-08-25

A giant smile broadens on my face as I hear that awesome Battlefield theme during the credits. This is going to be pretty cool I think... then...

Wow.

That was my first reaction after playing Bad Company for about 20 minutes. Bad Company was exceeding all my expectations for a 360 shooter, as well as a "Battlefield" game.

The single player experience is OUTSTANDING. Great story, great voice acting more than a few jokes that had me laughing out loud. Graphics were uniformly good, so good that I did not even need to take them into account while playing the game, they just "worked" which is ideal I think.

I played the heck out of Battlefield: 1942 and Battlefield: 2 on the PC back in the day, and really enjoyed the combined arms/total chaos style of game-play. Teamwork, utilizing those combined arms (Infantry/Tanks/Choppers), was SO fulfilling and fun. Since then, the few games since then (2142 and the Xbox/360 versions) have really disappointing. They just did not have that "Battlefield" feel to them.

Bad Companys multi-player is everything I remember and more. The gameplay fits seamlessly on the Xbox 360 and Xbox live works wonderfully better than the PC matchmaking. Everything you could want is there, from unlockable weapons to giant tanks. Awesome.
One of the Top 5 Games of 2008     On: 2008-08-22

Killer game!

I almost skipped Battlefield: Bad Company because it doesnt have co-op play. Thankfully I bought it anyway.

This game hits everything it aims for.

Gameplay: Fantastic. Immersive. Fun, even for those who are just watching. Interesting health system - one of your outfitted items is an adrenaline self-injector. You select it, pull the trigger, and watch your character stab himself in the heart. After grunting, your health is replenished to 100%. Theres a 5 or 10 second recharge on this injector, more than enough time to give the enemy a chance to finish killing you, especially on the hard difficulty.

When this system was introduced, I thought it would get tiring after a while, or make the game too "arcade-y," but that wasnt the case. Youll still die, and the choice the designers made about the health system keeps the combat interactions as realistic as possible without being excruciating. (lets face it: no one buys a game where they lie in the mud getting eaten by bugs for a week before scrapping the mission and going home...even though Id wager thats a more common and "realistic" combat experience than this game offers. If you want realistic combat, join the marines.).

Level Design and Missions: varied and fun. I tend to hate timed missions, and theres only a single ONE to be found here. A good assortment of shoot em up, protect your friends, escape, destroy hardware, and defense. Theres even a night mission that requires solo play (without your AI team), and its one of the most memorable in the game.

There was ONE mission that nearly had me stuck. That was due to my own lack of skill in playing - I got stuck (without ammo) on the wrong end of a bridge covered by snipers and .50cal nests. Even so, I eventually got through. You know those annoying games where you get lost during a level? Where you cant figure out where to go or what you should really be doing? Not here. A helpful (if a bit restrictive) red "artillery range" area is displayed around the path to your objective. If you go into the red area, you have 5 seconds or youre dead. A bit cheesy, but it keeps the game flowing. Even so, the games environments are huge and beautifully detailed.

AI: I played this game on the "normal" and "hard" difficulties - the AI was intelligent and had a few different strategies. "Hard" is comparable to the Legendary difficulty in Halo. Its something fun to do while having a few beers with friends, seeing who can last the longest, and over a few hours advancing through a level.

Your AI teammates dont die and never run out of Ammo. It helps.

Weapons: Fun to use, realistic looking and sounding (except for the Steyr AUG...not sure what happened there). The only game Ive played so far where shooting a rifle actually kind of feels like...shooting a rifle!

Sound: Without a doubt, the highlight of Battlefield: bad company. This game has incredible sound. Interesting fact: humans are genetically programmed to fear only one thing at birth: violent noises. Well, this game delivers them. Several times during the game, I found myself crouching behind cover longer than I needed to, and just enjoying the sounds of the battle raging around me. From NCOs shouting orders over the gunfire, to the screams of soldiers getting hit, to the thundering sounds of artillery and heavy armor in the background, to the fantastic sounds of the small-arms fire echoing down a street...its amazing.

The sound is a huge part of why this game is so cool. Good speakers highly recommended.

Storyline: Enough to keep it going. I can appreciate a good story, but it really isnt needed (and wouldnt be all that productive) here. The developers clearly spent their time on what mattered for this game. The storyline is there for those who want some direction/context, but its lighthearted and doesnt take itself too seriously. Perfect for the world youre playing in, since this game needs a fun story to balance out the "serious" combat. Believe it or not, this actually ADDS replay value to the game. I dont think I would have gone back for a replay on "hard" if I knew there was a dark, brooding story (a la Rainbow) looming there waiting for me.

Overall: This is a fun way to waste 15 hours of your life. Theres plenty of replay value to be had, and you never have the feeling that youre running out of things to do. So many games give you all theyve got in the first 5 hours, and then make you repeat it over and over for another 5 to get to the end. When youre playing Bad Company, it always feels like theres more than one way to get where youre going, depending on your style of gameplay and the weapons youre currently holding. Its never tiring, and thanks to a first rate save system, you can usually finish up within 3 or 4 minutes without losing any progress, if Real Life calls.

10/10. A must-have for anyone whos ever enjoyed shooters.

Battlefield Bad Game!     On: 2008-08-18

I really REALLY wanted to like this game.I saw the commercials with the sharp graphics and witty funny dialogue and thought This is going to be a great game right?WRONG!And I am sorry to say this. Now,I play a lot of first person shooter games and some are better than others obviously. But Ive never played one that had so much promise and failed in almost every concievable way possible. Now,before I get to the terrible parts let me start with the very few positive available.

Lets start off with the graphics. They are very realistic and youll be surprised great they are.The best Ive seen in a game of this type so far.The duel acessories/weapon selection is cleaver. You can repair any vehicle pretty fast with a rivot-type gun which is useful. And the dialogue the men in Bad Company during the campaign is actually pretty funny and comedy is certainly a nice change of pace in a game about war and death. And the coolest part of the game is actually firing the Artillery pieces with a airial view a lot of fun especially online.

Now,here comes the bad parts which are considerable so bare with me through all of them.Lets begin on the game mechanics.Selecting weapons are cumbersome and awkward.Youll shuffle through one only to realize that you skipped it.And you would think that the standard L1-R1 weapon select system would have been more than adequate to easily get the job done, but L1 selects the acessories and R1 selects weapons.Secondary weapons like a attached grenade launcher should be on L2 and use R2 to fire, but disappointingly enough its an acessory so you have to select it with L1 which is more than awkward especially in the heat of battle. The reticles are almost useless and is hard to guage if you even have your target on it and the recoil moves it around so much you easily lose track of the enemy.Rocket Launchers are underpowered especially up close where they shoulb be the most effective like hitting a guy in the chest and him not dyingAnd a lot of the weapons you use online and unlockable ones you need special codes and they are extremely hard to get and then even more can only the be unlocked only if youd pre order the game LAME!

Now to the campaign-The story is the backbone to any first person shooter and without one severely dilutes the online part which it does a lot.The whole concept is about finding enemy Gold and smuggling it out so everyone there can retire.Although this sounds like this is a great idea and a novel concept its actually becomes stale and boring very quickly.Like I said I had no problem with the voice acting, but some may find it to be dumb and repetitive. Also, the intro just throws you into a Russian-type country without any backstory or explanation on how and why you are there which is the biggest flaw in the game.A good portion of the enemy A.I. even on the highest difficulty are dumb and are easy targets.

And finally Online-There are only two settings(Gold Rush and Conquest mode). And you can only get Conquest Mode only if you download it off of XBOX Live and please do its head over shoulders better that playing Gold Rush by far. There is absolutely to talking in this game which I found wierd in a game so strategic as this one.At first I thought my Mic was broken, but then soon discovered after playing several consecutive games that theres simply isnt any at all. This might be a good thing however, because there is a lot of Team Killing that occurs. And I do mean a lot of it.This was preveilent in the first Battlefield game, but no where near the level that it is now.The HUD is useles as well.It doesnt show you where your team is at accurately and enemies appear as little tiny dots that you can barely see.But you dont have to worry much about this, because Snipers rule this game.Youll get picked off from a thousand yards away and have no idea what happened until its too late. And dont ever EVER get into a vehicle especially a Helicopter with your Teammates around, because they will deliberately shoot at you until you die or the vehicle is rendered completely useless. Most players also have better weapons available that you do and if youre up against them you might as well leave the game. You only have about five maps to play on and only two of those are worth playing. The are big a bit too big and although you can select which spawn point you select,by the time you get into the battle the actual fighting is now a thousand miles away from you and youll find yourself running or driving to the front lines.

Overall this game is a big disappointment. If you expect a great game youll be sadly mistakened.I lay all the blame on the makers of the game who should have realized all of these problems and actually fix them. They deserve a special award for poor game design and flawed unsupervised online game play. And a thrown together jumbled mess of a story line.I could actually go on with more problems with the game, but that would drag this review even further. If you have to play this game I suggest you rent it,DO NOT buy this game! Its a waste of time and money. To finish all I have to say is this game might very well be the biggest disappointment of any video game and any genre Ive ever seen and I hope I have given you all the information you need to avoid such a dreadful game as this one turned out to be.
Most fun I have had in a while     On: 2008-08-11

I normally like to finish a game before reviewing it, but I can say that Battlefield: Bad Company is awesome and there is no point in me finishing it. This is absolute fun. RPGs going over your head. Your squad talking up a storm. You trying to run away from tanks. Getting blown-up and then getting shaken up because of the blast. In a short couple of words. Forget COD4, I think this is the most realistic game I have played. I havent been in combat before, this has to be close. I have played most of the the popular FPS console games; Rainbow Six, COD, Ghost Recon, Halo and this will certainly satisfy me for a while.

I have seen the bad reviews on Amazon and I dont get it. Who cares that it isnt COD4. Call of Duty was so scripted anyway. It almost wants a first person shooter but an adventure game.

Bad Company is not hard, but it is fun to see if approaching a hotspot makes it easier on you. For example, I normally dont like using the vehicles (Tanks, etc) but if you do, they make it a lot easier.

Pros:
* Awesome sound
* Awesome gameplay and realistic environment
* Fun
* Funny story and characters

Cons:
* Horrible, horrible worthless friendly AI. The enemy AI seems pretty good to me. I saw an enemy soldier walk right up to the friendly and the friendly soldier didnt do anything.
* Maybe too realistic and chaotic. You cant tell what is going on.
* Stupid reviewers on Amazon, who want COD5.

Amazing     On: 2008-08-09

I loved this game great graphics awesome sound but the only thing I didnt like was it was to short but other than that I recommend it.
Great Game     On: 2008-08-05

Great overall game. The storyline is solid, the gameplay is easy, while the AI challenge is definitely there without being way over the top. Online play is awesome. The one downside: no multiplayer unless your online. There seems to be only one online multiplayer mode too. Hopefully that gets updated. Id says its definitely worth the buy.
Fun game, still waiting.     On: 2008-08-02

Its a great game awesome sound and graphics. Although we are still waiting for conquest mode, hopefully it will be here soon.
wow, they did a great job with this game     On: 2008-07-30

this game is a simple shooter which has many intertwining plots. They best thing about this game is the poeple in it. They are hilarious and even when your just listening to what they say you crack up. BUY THIS GAME!!!
THE must have game!!     On: 2008-07-30

After reading many good reviews, I decided to pony up the $70 for the gold version of Battle: Bad Company, and was not the least bit disappointed! The game play is great, with terrific graphics and sounds, but the kicker is the online play. I would pay the $70 for the online play alone!! It is THE most fun Ive had in ages!
GOLD RUSH BABY!!!!!!!!!     On: 2008-07-30

Online gold rush, is an awsome change of pace! I love how it brings people together and for the most part makes people play as a team. I am loving the dedicated servers and have experianced very little lag while playing online. I have heard other people saying this but have not experianced it myself. ( by the way I am in an unsupported country, working overseas.)

The achivements are fairly easy and can be earned just by playing the game, with the exception of a few.The hardest one being, getting 10,002 kills online ( dont think Ill be getting this one).

Now with frustrations with the online are the really random and wierd places you spawn. Sometimes you will spawn in a building far away from the fight with no doors. Sometimes it will be in the middle of noware and have to walk for several minutes to get to the fight. Now you can respawn with your team mates, but then you run the risk of spawning in the middle of a firefight and getting killed as soon as you spawn.

And no it is not Call of Duty 4 and it never was trying to be, to all those who kep saying that: yes we know, now go back to playing COD4.

I am happy with my purchase and think it is worth it. My $0.02
HMMM.....     On: 2008-07-23

so im going to make this short and simple. the game itself is worth renting but not buying. the destroy every thing enviroment is pretty awesome i must say. but the story line is a little weak and you dont get everything thats going on. also it would be nice to have more weapons. towards the end everything starts to get repeditive.
Amazon not delivering promised sniper rifle.     On: 2008-07-23

Game is great. Amazon pre-purchase hype was not very good. They promised the key to sniper rifle and after repeated emails gave a $10 coupon for a future purchase. I would much have preferred the deal promised.
GREAT FUN MULTIPLAYER!     On: 2008-07-22

If you are looking for a fun multiplayer, then you should get this game. It offers a great variety since you can fight in different classes and/or drive many vehicles. The best is when playing with a squad of friends.

Warning: for novice FPS players or those who just want to have fun, please beware of the knifing in this game since the knifing can either go overboard and frustrate you or become a complete joke since almost everyone wants to knife you at every opportunity for your dog tags. Ive managed to rack up huge amounts of dog tags but grew tired of it because of the ridiculous amount of people trying to knife you. I guess the only positive side of knifing is when you shoot a guy trying to knife you 10 feet away. Its hilarious how some believe they can go through your bullets to shank you. The 4/5 stars is due to stupid knifing. Overall the game is really fun!
Play it, don't compare it.     On: 2008-07-21

Battlefield reeks with the smells of war, battle plans laid out in the relative safety of occupied territories can quickly disolve into chaos once enemiy lines have been crossed. Enemy A.I. is smart, not real smart but smart just the same. Destruction of the enviroment and of man made structures is a pleasant deviation from other games of the same genre. Play the game, rent it first if you must, play a level or two and if you like take it back and buy your very own copy. Do your self a favor though, dont compare it Call of Duty 4. I live for COD4, and have lived in its world way to l o n g. Battle field is an extension if you will, an extension built upon the glory of COD4 with different ideas and thoughts put into motion on how this game should be played out, everything has changed but the goal is still the same. This team of programmers with their new engine should be applauded, they felt the need to go all out on Battlefield, and go all out they did, offering new eye candy full of thrills sounds and sights. From my first impressions and ultimate joy with the game to the final credits i felt that this was a new experience, a place i have not seen or been before, i didnt muddy it up with comparisons to COD4 and i truly enjoyed the ride. You will to if you dare not to compare. Its a great ride, and this is my honest and frank opinion of Battlefield. Please dont call me frank. Enjoy.
Excellent, with problem in Multiplayer and one in Singleplayer     On: 2008-07-21

This game is a lot of fun, for a good review, I recommend checking teamxbox.com, ign.com, or metacritic.com. The single player is fairly lengthy, with a lot of fun achievements, and a replayability of at least 2 runs through the campaign, maybe three. (Im on my second playthrough, and might do one more) By far, the biggest problem in singleplayer is the AI. The enemy ALWAYS knows where you are. It doesnt really make the game terribly difficult, it just makes it a bit boring. Theres no way to be sneaky, you cant snipe, you just have to run in to the battle every time. It doesnt pay to hide and fire from far away. Once you fire your first shot, every enemy within range instantly knows where you are and begins lobbing rather large pieces of metal at your skull. Feels fake. Your AI is also useless, but I guess thats normal...

The multiplayer is very fun too, although grossly imbalanced, not in kits, but in the side you play. If you play Defense, 80%+ of the time you will win, and if you play offense, >20% of the time will you be victorious. This isnt a deal breaker, and it it doesnt make the game miserable, but its a bit frustrating when your team is obviously better than the opposing team, but try as you might, you cant destroy all the enemy objectives. This is a minor issue that will be fixed soon in a patch however. The bigger issue is that vehicles are a bit too tough/powerful. Theyre quite difficult to kill, and can be a bit irratating when they spawn camp. Once again, however, its not a dealbreaker. Hopefully DICE will include a no-vehicle mode later on. *PLEASE PLEASE, DICE!!*

Overall, Id give it an 8 or 9/10. Well see as I continue to run through the multiplayer.

This game is in many ways superior to CoD4, btw. Just thought I should mention that, the lasting appeal is greater, IMO.
Good Idea, Bad AI     On: 2008-07-20

The ability to blow up buildings is this games pull, along with the multi-player pedigree that comes with being a battlefield game. However this game has some serious flaws including some in its two main draws.

Single Player:
When you blow up a wall to a building a great deal of smoke and debris is produced blocking your vision into the house for a few seconds. This can be deadly because apparently this obstruction has absolutely no affect on the enemy sitting in the house who can magically see you and takes advantage of those few seconds to tear you apart. The enemy AI always seem to know exactly where to find you on the battlefield and when played on normal or hard can shoot you even if your in cover or from impossibly far distances away. For example I ran into a large cluster of trees, that should have completely hidden me from view, so I could reload. While reloading a tank came down the road and pulled up next to the trees and instead of targeting my squad which was visible, the tank instead tore apart the trees I was in and shot me to pieces. This would be alright if it happened occasionally, but then in later in the game in a fight with an enemy helicopter I hid in a concrete bunker that couldnt be destroyed so my squad could handle the helicopter. Well the helicopter instead of targeting the real threat decided to repeatedly shoot missiles at the bunker I was holed up in and allowed my squad to eventually shoot it down. Which brings me to my next point about the AI the friendly AI is terrible. Your squad is next to useless unless you give them about 5 minutes and then theyll actually do something. That said, the focus on blowing stuff up gives the game a uniquely different identity from most fps games out today. The humor in the game isnt great but its a rare thing to see in a fps so its somewhat inventive. The one thing that somewhat makes up for the enemy AI is the respawn system. When you die your kicked back to the last save spot, but every enemy you killed and every building you blew up remains that way.

Multi-player:
This is the games main focus. The fact that theres nowhere to hide in an online game is a very fun aspect of this game. However theres only one mode to play in online, and Im not a huge fan of objective online matches. I prefer the free-for-all matches or team deathmatches. But if you like a more goal oriented online match then I would strongly recommend giving this game a look.

My final recommendation is to rent this game and see how you like it.
Awesome Game, great online play too.     On: 2008-07-19

Awesome game, I even like the online multiplayer. I like it better than halo 3 and call of duty 4.
Extremely good game.     On: 2008-07-15

This is an excellent game with the best audio I have experienced. The audio sounds like you are a part of the combat. If you played Frontlines or Medal of Honor Airborne, then you will like this one. Think Frontlines with 3x better sound, graphics and gameplay. Lag free multiplayer, which is a huge bonus to me. The singleplayer is one of longest Fpss out there, somewhere around 12 hours. There are 7 missions, each about an hour or more. The way the achievements are set up is that you get 15 for beating a mission on normal and 25 for beating it on hard. The only real strike to the game is that the singleplayer is a complete cake-walk. When you die you respawn about 100 yards from where you died, with the same weapons and ammo, and the enemies you killed are still dead. So even on hard the game isnt that difficult because you can die as much as you want to.

Overalls

Sound 10.0
Graphics 9.0
AI 8.5
Multiplayer 7.0
Singleplayer 9.5
Achievements 8.0 ( I would say 600 is relatively easy to attain)
Overall 9.0-9.5
AWESOME GAME     On: 2008-07-15

i gotta say this game lived up to its expectations for me. great graphics grat multiplayer. but i got 2 things to say first i would only buy this game if i had live because its pretty boring just going around in the story over and over but multiplayer is the cherry on top it just makes the game great. second some issues in multiplayer such as only squad talk, you cant really run up hills and if you target a leaf in a bush by accidently it will target the bush and not the target behind it(talking about the mortar stike gadget).
the next level of Battlefield.     On: 2008-07-11

hands down, this is the best FPS this year, the only one i expect to be better is Farcry 2. im a sucker for open-ended sandbox style gameplay, and this one delivers, the levels are HUGE and your options for victory are only limited by your imagination. that enemy tank getting your down? just call in an airstrike. dont have that equipment? find some c4, make a quick pass by the tank, dropping it as you run, and watch the firewors! this game is a total blast, its the most pure fun ive had with a shooter since Bioshock.

for the first time in a Battlefield game, you actually have a great single player game, the story and characters really are well done, even if your teammates are living cliches. basically your squad of four consists of the lowest outcasts of the army, who are there either there to shorten a jail sentance or shorten their required time served. they fight on the front lines, usually alone, and with some quick wits(and big guns) you can conquer a small army! which brings me to my next point and one of the very few negatives in the game, in many cases online or off, the most important factor is not skill, but who has the biggest guns, not that skill isnt immensely important, because it is. if you dont know the game, the online regulars will tear you apart and spit you back out before you realize your dead. the fantastic single player will get you acquainted fast though.

as of right now, the online only has one match type, Gold Rush, which plays similar to capture the flag, only on a much larger scale with multilple control points. the classic Conquest mode will be added for free download in the next couple months.

a big factor is the destructible environments, and it delivers. mostly. i have a few complaints regarding the environmental distruction. if i can destroy nearly any wall, why are floors completely invincible? and if my tank can plow through a wall, why does it get stuck on the most pesky little things?(small rocks, framework, a BATHTUB haha).. nothing game-breaking, but it gets pretty annoying driving vehicles in towns/bases.

on-foot, fps controls are similar to COD4 with the steady-aim/zoom in on the left trigger. the only major difference is the placement of the duck button, here its RS instead of B. not the the game itself feels AT ALL like COD4, and it isnt trying to in the leased. this game is carrying on the Battlefield tradition, and oh man is it a worthy follow up. i cant stress enough how great this game is, just take my word for it, and buy it now
:0)     On: 2008-07-11

Not bad i thought i wouldnt like it because im use to COD4 but its not bad as well as the online gaming.
Great Game     On: 2008-07-09

The single player game is OK, but the big draw for this game is the online play which is actually better than COD4. The game presents the full spectrum of modern combat operations; armor, artillery, close air support, and small arms all controlled by the player. Other reviewers have complained about difficulty with gameplay and in bringing down opposing players. For instance that it takes far two many rounds to kill someone. I have found the opposite to be true. Battlefield is far more realistic as far as how many bullets it takes to stop a human being than COD4. The wide open environs make sniping very fun. People who dont like this game are only crybabies upset because it is so realistic that it doesnt allow them to dominate as they did in COD4 or Halo. I only give it four stars because the single player campagn (which I didnt bother to finish) was a little bland and 60 bucks seems excessive for a game that is only worth playing online.
Better than I feared     On: 2008-07-08

As with everyone else in America and around the world, I was a HUGE fan of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. I have never played Battlefield before and was told its better than COD. Although I dont agree it being better, its absolutely on the same level. The realism is what I go for in these games. I love, LOVE how everything is destructible and people realistically die. My only set back with this game, which I quickly got over, was when you respawn in single player. I got over it quickly because I was just getting used to some of the controls, but thats the only not realistic part of the game. Overall, this is one of the best of the year, so far.
Battlefield & Chaos     On: 2008-07-08

Battlefield Bad Company is a FPS for the XBOX 360, This is an open world combat game similar to Medal of Honor Airborne and Frontlines Fuels of War. But most people feel that it must be compared to Call Of Duty 4, which of course is the best FPS on the 360.

Playing the single player campaigne in Bad Company has you fighting alongside a squad of three AI (artifical intelligence). The real problem is with your AI sqaudmates whom are brain dead! They will stand out in the open and not shoot back at the enemies. The enemy AI are shooting hailstorms of bullets at you but seldomly attack the AI squadmates on your team. This shoddy programming takes away from the realism and makes the game feel cheesy and low budget.

Does that mean that the single player is junk? Not for me at least. Since your sqaudmates are useless, it just means that you will do most of the combat and mission objectives by yourself. Many of the missions had such intense firefights that it will remind you of those other great FPS. The maps are very massive and open for the most part. This open world combat lets you devise your own plan of attack which is an excellent experience in itself. There are plenty of weapon pickups and checkpoints which automatically save your progress. If you get killed, you just respawn from the last checkpoint you passed.

The levels use streaming technology which means no loading times when going from one part of the map to the next. The levels also are persistant which means that whatever destruction you caused or enemies you killed; they remain the same and DO NOT reset after you get killed. The best thing about Bad Company is the destructiblility. Trees, containers, vehicles, and walls can be destroyed. The graphics and sound effects do a good job of conveying the chaos from this destruction.

Unfortunately, there is only one game mode type for multiplayer online. The mode is called, "Gold Rush" thhough it should be renamed to "Head Rush", because there is so much going on at the same time during the battles which allows up to (12) players on each team. The defending team protects the gold crates, while the attacking team tries to destroy it by either planting a charge on the crate or simply shooting at it till it blows up. Mortars shower from above, attack choppers dominate from the air, battle tanks destroy by ground, artillary strikes are awesome, air strikes have lethal precision. All the while lots of small skirmishes are taking place- Specialists running around with their Silenced SMGs, Demolitionist blasting with their shotguns, Snipers killing from afar, Support providing suppressive fire and Assualt soldiers aggressively attacking everyone.

Despite some of its flaws, the chaotic battles, destructive environments, and award winning sound of effects make Battlefield Bad Company an enjoyable experience for FPS fans. It is not a Perfect game by any means and it probably wont topple COD4, but Bad Company it is certainly one of the best open world combat games avaible for the XBOX 360.

PROS:
+Open world combat
+Destructible environments
+Massive Levels
+Excellent Map Designs
+Ragdoll Physics
+Jaw dropping sound effects
+Excellent controls
+Balanced Weapons
+Intense firefights

Cons:
-Brain dead AI in single player mode
-only ONE multiplayer mode
-It does not win over COD4

Not really what I consider a good FPS     On: 2008-07-03

Good:
The Destructable environment is a step forward.

Not So Good:
The game is 90% dominated by armor, helios, fixed guns etc. Im sure there are tons of plp that never get out of the tanks. They just take a new one every time they spawn.

**WAY WAY TOO MUCH** of the game (mabye 90%) is controlled by Armor, Helios, Artillary, etc.

Graphics and sound are not as good as COD4.

Way to hard to drop people with small arms. If youve got the drop on someone (anyone) at close range with a full auto weapon they should go down. (notice the period)

Overall:
Im sure over time Ill get to like the game better. I dont think Ill ever like it as much as COD4, mostly due to low value on actual first person shooting. Mabye fixing the total amount of mechs or being able to limit their effectiveness by blowing bridges or something would help.
Get over COD4     On: 2008-07-03

All I would like to say is that everyone needs to get over COD4 and stop comparing new first person shooter that come out to COD4. COD4 was been out almost a year now GET OVER IT!!!!! its time to move on to somthing new. Not saying that COD4 is a bad game because its not and we all know that. All I am saying let play somthing else.

This game is a real fun game try it you might like it.
People think this game is "amazing" ???     On: 2008-07-02

This game is disappointing at best. Its just like Assassins Creed in the regard that its a game solely made to show off a new type of gaming engine. Yeah, you can blow up trees and walls, great. The graphics are terrible! I dont know what game other people are playing but this looks like Medal of Honor for the PS2! The accuracy of the weapons is horrible and enemies take whole clips to be killed. The health injection and checkpoints take all the difficulty out of the game. You can die 1000 times and still come back to the same spot and the enemies dont respawn. I truly believe that this is a down grade from the last game, BF:MC I LOVE FPSs. Ive played em all. Im just really let down by this release. By the way, You cant talk to anyone outside of your 4 man squad on a 12 man team in multiplayer! That really helps the whole team work and strategy aspect of the game... I give this game a 2 instead of a 1 simply because there are far worse games out there. Im just overall disappointed. I wish EA still supported BF:MC!!!!
battlefield:bc     On: 2008-07-02

Anyone who liked call of duty 4 is going to love this game. its a bigger better version of cod. you can drive tanks helis and humves, its awesome. the only bad part is that you lose points if u kill ur own guy. Also there is no split screen. however the online play is massive and everything is destructible. so if ur like me and sick and tired of cod 4 get battlefield: bad company.
Another $60.00 wasted     On: 2008-07-01

Heres the deal.
This game has a few things going for it.
It is cool to blow big holes in the side of buildings. I am also a big fan of shooting the trees down. The single player has some moments that are kind of funny. The graphics are not on par with the great shooters, but they are still pretty good.

My complaints with the game are as follows.
Ok first off it seems like my guys top speed is a breath taking 2 mph, 3 mph if I am sprinting. The graphics are not all that great. The controls are sloppy and it is hard to be very accurate. Some of the things they put in the game to be clever are just stupid. Like the injector that heals you, which means you have to put away your gun to heal yourself. This wouldnt be so bad if I wasnt using the damn thing every 10 seconds. Also the vehicle repair tool that you just grind against the side of a car to make it run again. Whats the point of that? If you want to stab someone the knife stays in your hand so you have to pull out your gun again. Also the multiplayer sucks, blow up gold crates.... Whatever. I hear they are releasing new modes, but who cares when the game play is this bad.

Anyways, maybe I am just spoiled from Halo and COD4. But it feels like they rushed this game out. I recommend that you keep your money and wait for the really good games this fall.

It's not Call of Duty 4....     On: 2008-06-30

The best and shortest way to describe this game is that its NOT the clean, crisp Call of Duty 4 game that we have all come to love on Xbox 360. The graphics arent on par with COD4, and neither is the sound. The online experience is limited. The battlefield series made its mark on the PC, where Battlefield 2 was the top shooter possibly every created in terms of a military type game. Every time they try to bring it to a console, it has a weaker feel. [...] Its a FINE [...] dollar game...no way near worth the premium.

just a helpful opinion.
Really Fun Multi-Player, But Still Not a 10     On: 2008-06-29

This game has an incredibly boring single player game and a fun multi-player game. The graphics are not up to COD4, but they still are good. Those of you who enjoy COD4 and are looking for something else to entertain you will enjoy this game. Initially EA wanted to charge more money for different weapons which rubbed me the wrong way (I still cant rationalize why I am paying XBox Live to play online!). There are glitches in the game that people are taking advantage of. I am seeing a lot of people "fixing" upside down vehicles in order to gain ridiculous points (some kind of glitch in the game) and ignoring the game taking place around them. There is also quite a bit of team killing going on with no repurcussions (you dont get kicked off for excessive TKing). The game play is fairly fluid though when it is taking place and the destructive environment (trees fall down after you shoot them, walls blow up, you can force your way through doors and windows) is cool. Its worth the price, but COD4 is better for those who havent played that yet. Enjoy....
Worthy Shooter that brings destruction to the table     On: 2008-06-27

If your a fan of shooters , you owe it to yourself to try this game.
At the very least rent it.
After playing hours of COD4 ,Battlefield is a nice refreshing change to the FPS genre.

Nearly every wall, door, rooftop is able to be blown to bits.

After a hectic battle in a wharehouse , I turned around and looked at all of the destruction. What a sight ,the entire side of the wharehouse was comepletley gone.

I love the frenetic gameplay , you cant just take cover and wait it out so to speak, you have to shoot, move, take cover, shoot move ,rinse repeat. Dont get me wrong you can take cover, just be carefull where you do it, that wall wont survive long.

I like the fact you can go into an area in a vehicle or on foot.
Do you flank left ,right,or shoot up the middle. Its all there for you to decide.
The very beginning of the game is linear for the most part. Really its just a pseudo training level for you to get used to the new destructive component. And boy is it ever satisfying to see the once formidable wall be blown to bits by a well place grenade launch from you. Very fun indeed.

Climb up to an attic ,and you wanna go out the other side but cant ,well make a new door through the wall with your gun mounted grenade launcher. If your a fan of FPS , Battlefield should provide that much needed FPS shooter FIX.

Being that I was in a bit of a drought ,getting a little tired of COD4, Battlefield is a nice refreshing change of pace.

The graphics arent fantastic , but what is fantastic is what happens when your destroy things in-game, they look GREAT graphically and really provide a feeling of being in a hot war zone, with ample amounts of destruction.

Dont get me wrong COD4 is awesome,I just needed a change of pace and the new destructable element is a nice new addition to the FPS genre.

Sure many games have tried this, but Battlefield really brings destruction home to the FPS gamer.

Online right now is a mixed bag, hopefully once the servers get up to speed ,itll work itself out. Battlefield on its own merit is awesome, I just wish there was more room for more servers, maybe by the time you read this theyll be up an running strong.

Really Battlefields single player is so good, Id be happy with just playing single player campaign only , this game is that good. Very very good indeed. This a shooter worthy of a playthrough, and should satisfy even the most discriminating shooter fans.
With somewhat of a shooter drought right now, Battlefield is just the right game to give me a shooter fix. PEACE

Great Shooter Game     On: 2008-06-27

I purchased this game yesterday and played last night for a few hours. It is a good game to me, worth the purchase, especially if you like shooter style video games. The high def graphics are great and the sound is even better. The controls are easy to use. I like COD4 and Bad Company is right up there with it imo.
worst     On: 2008-06-25

this is a horrible game. i cant believe I spent [...] dollars to play this horrible game the graphics look like Atari Jaguar and the servers arent good at all. back to Cod 4 i go.Thanks for nothing ea
To much hype over what?...     On: 2008-06-25

The sounds in this game are amazing. One improvement they have made is the sniper. They have made it so there is no tracer or red dot that appears giving away the snipers position. That does not mean you cant be spotted, once spotted then you will be marked red on the radar for the enemy to see, only for a short while :3 if you make it that long.
Driving vehicles is fun and manning certain artillery pieces is fun as well. Overall its a good game to play with friends. But its not the greatest. There is a lack or does not exist a function to customize your weapons. The ghillie suits look, I quote during a game, "like underwear with leaves on it." The single player gameplay is entertaining. The graphics seem to have improved but nothing fancy...ive seen better. There are some minor issues that pop up rarely during multi-player mode. One of them being dropped from a game or being placed with another squad? and also loosing the ability the talk or hear your friends during gameplay. So far its happened only once but then again it was the first night I played. One thing I absolutely hate about this game is that if you have a person who can pilot the helicopter well then you pretty much dominate the game. Its good when your on the winning side. But when your loosing its frustrating. Lastly the SHOTGUN is ridiculously powerful in this game. I cant tell you how many times I see people getting killed with a shotgun from a very long distance.

Overall its fun, expensive... sigh*...its entertaining
is it worth buying? Im sure a better game will come along. For now itll do...
This Is A Really Fun Game.     On: 2008-06-25

Battlefield: Bad Company is a fun game to play. Right away I noticed the game has probably the best sounds of combat I have ever heard in a game. From the sounds of weapons firing to the sounds of armored vehicles running, the game is great to listen to. The sounds of mortar shells coming down and exploding around you is just unbelievable. When I walk through forests and fields, I can actually hear the sounds of birds chirping, dogs barking, and cows mooing.

The graphics in the game are just great too. I love looking at the water in streams and rivers. It looks very real. The forests and villages in this Eastern European setting are really beautiful to look at in this game.

I like how you can jump in different vehicles to drive around in and there is a car radio in the vehicle to listen to while you are driving around. There are several different radio stations to listen to. I love the music in this game.

The AI in this game is pretty smart. When enemy soldiers see me, they immediately run and hide behind something. They have try to out flank me and they have tried to sneaked behind me a few times. I love the part where a enemy soldier runs into a building to hide from you and you can use your weapon to blow a good size hole into a building to waste the enemy soldier. It is also so much fun to just take your weapon and shoot down all the trees that enemy soldiers are hiding behind. You can do so much damage to the terrain with your weapons in this game.

The maps to this game are huge. The maps are ten times bigger than the maps to Call of Duty 4. I love the sandbox settings to this game where you can go any where on the maps.

I highly recommend getting this game. Battlefield: Bad Company is a fun game to play and the game has a lot of replay value to it.
The online was down almost all day on release     On: 2008-06-25

I played hours of BF2 so I love the online team combat fps game play. I have played days of RB6 and COD4. Five reasons why the online Xbox live game play just stinks right now.

1. you can not chat with anyone outside your squad of 4 people. So you do not know what the other 8 people on your team is doing or planning.

2. you do not have a server list or even any idea what maps are being played and can spend a lot of time trying to find good games to join.

3. When you invite your friends into the game it may put them on the other team. Wow, how could this have been overlooked? Spend time getting out of games and trying it again.

4. EA reset the stats from the demo so everyone should have started at 0 points but through some kind of cheat a lot of players already have 78,000 points from playing just one day.

5. I only got to play just one game then the EA servers went down and could not get back on. Looks like EA prepared poorly for the rollout of the game.

6. extra credit: with the very poor design of team chat and not being able to invite anymore than three of your friends into a game, despite both RB6 and COD4 letting you do 6 or more, it appears many clans will not play until this is fixed.

Single player- *** Who buys BF games for single player?*** BF is all about online team fps. It appears EA thought that if we get to blow stuff up we would ignore the glaring mistakes.

This game still needs some serious work.

OMG !! LOL !! Batlefield 2 Bad Company     On: 2008-06-25

So buy Bad Company so I give it 5 stars.

Not perfect, but a lot of fun.     On: 2008-06-25

This is a great game in its own right, with 24-player online matches, fully destructible environments, and a full range of land, sea, and air vehicles in very large maps. All of these things are very impressive for a console, but may be nothing too exciting for fans of the older Battlefield games on the PC.

It may take a little while just to get used to the game, but it can be a lot of fun once you get into it. The game overall isnt as clean or realistic as Call of Duty 4, but you really have to keep in mind that theyre trying to bring a lot more to the table, whereas COD4 focused on perfecting a few key aspects of the gameplay. Those are two really different approaches to game development, and so its really not fair to compare the two directly.

With that said, however, the controls and aiming dont feel nearly as sharp or responsive as they should, and this can get frustrating when youre trying to frantically maneuver your vehicle out of harms way or land a shot on the guy in the tiny window across the village.

Itll be a little while before you pick up on the full range of things you can actually do in the game (tagging enemy vehicles with tracer rounds so that your buddy can lock onto it with a rocket launcher, for instance, or deploying smoke from your tank to cover your retreat). Thats when things really get fun (and you stop dying as much). Online matches tend to descend into chaos rather quickly, but if you find some friends to play with and stick together, the cooperative aspects of the gameplay really shine through and can make for a very rewarding experience.

In conclusion, there are a few areas for improvement, but its a very good multiplayer game in its own right, and its definitely worth checking out (especially if youre new to the series).
Not EA or Dice!!!     On: 2008-06-25

I just want to start off by saying I dont work for EA or Dice so dont ask. Now to the game Im probably going to get hell from people for saying this but this game blows away Call of Duty 4!!! Yes I said it!!!
Ok so the graphics arent as good as CoD4 but the gameplay and sound alone justify my opinion.

The sound is the greatest sound fx Ive ever heard in a game, I think it should actualy be considered a crime to play this game without suround sound. When you are inside a building as always you can hear your footsteps but the depth to the sound quility is amazing and when you fire your weapon it echoes so beatifuly it makes you feel like you are really in that hall.

The Frostbite engine allows for almost endless distruction which alone makes the game more fun then CoD4 (which I was a huge fan of so please dont think Im bashing it at all). If there is an enemy behind the wall blow it up to get to him, dont feel like using the door blow it up or drive threw it with the tank!!! You can even go as far as using this feature to blow out a roof and turn the attic into a sniper location.

The game is insanely fun and has hilarious commentary from squad mates. I only got play the multiplayer for a few minutes but it is the same setup and style as CoD4 making it easy to get used to. I highly recomend this game give it a shot regardless of if you think CoD4 is and always will be the greatest first person shooter ever... I promise you wont be disapointed!!!
I hope...     On: 2008-06-23

That the final game is nearly as fun as the demo. This really is a genre defining shooter. I think that the frostbite engine will be used frequently in the future, not only because of its 90% destrucible enviroments, but because of the incredible lighting effects and sound. The sound in particular is amazing. While running through a building, you can hear gunfire echoing and glass shattering. It is pretty difficult to accurately describe. The single Player game is ok, I have played better (Call of Duty, etc) and I dont like the fact that you can die and respawn without penalty, but it is solid. However, this games main draw is the prominent multiplayer. What I have seen in the demo, which I assume is very similar to the completed game, fills me with anticipation.
Classes are exceptionally balanced with vehicle use, maps are enormous, and very fast gameplay ensures every game is a good one. After all, this is one of the Battlefield games! If you own an Xbox, and like any shooters, buy this game, if only for the multiplayer.
